Well said indeed. These people never thought of themselves first on 9/11, they put others first. Some gave all.....Still makes me sad to think after 18 years they still have to deal with this. It boggles my mind how screwed up our government is. It will forever be based on agendas unfortunately. Too many people go in to politics for the wrong reasons. Too many people dont make it far either, for the wrong reasons. I hope one day it will all change but i feel it wont be for the better. I hope im wrong.
Haven’t seen an official list but according to the comments on YouTube, they were all Republicans.

Well I could be wrong, but the way I understand it is that he is using his voice and status to help others who voices are not being heard. He’s a big supporter of Fireman around the country. He’s spoken out around the country to try and get these men and women coverage that also helps their families. A lot of these guys haven’t been able to work and don’t have the required age or # of years to qualify for a retirement. Short as that may be, because of this ****ing cancer that has killed 7 guys I’ve worked with and knew on a first name basis.
If this is just the standard SVTP politics circle jerk, I’m not engaging. It’s not the point. Maybe we can just put that shit aside for a second and see that people who risked their lives to help other people are ****ing dying. All while being denied coverage.
The biggest problem in the Fire Service right now is job related cancer. The one's who survived 9/11, but helped to try and find those missing by searching through the fallen remains of the towers are dying in huge numbers. And it’s not just members of the New York City Fire Department. Other departments responded as well. From all over the world. On an emergency scene nobody gives a **** if the layout guy voted or X or Y. You work together and go home together. You help out each other’s families when times get tough. Don’t get me wrong, we have those “I.G.M.” Guys in the Fire Service too. They’re pieces of shit. Only in it for the paycheck.
Anyway, hate on the guy if you want. I’m not telling you what to do. I don’t care if you’re RIGHT/LEFT/UP/DOWN politically. When your brothers and sisters need help, you put your own personal shit aside and try and help.
Trying to get the Victims Compensation Fund permanently or long term funded. Thought the assclown did a great job as it is a travesty that First Responders and Victims of 9/11 are still fighting for funding 18 years later.
Reminds me of my Father. Suffered for years from Agent Orange. Of course Congress and VA didn’t recognize Agent Orange so my father couldn’t get proper treatment or compensation. He and many others could of used some assclown back then to speed things up. Agent Orange or the effects of Agent Orange took his life.
Don't agree with him on much but he nailed this. Whoever wasn't there is an assclown. Good job Mr. Stewart.

That said. I watched this from across the river, I was 18. It made me want to become a police officer or fireman. I later.l chose police because of this one event.
I dated a girl whose father is suffering from being on scene with his fire co. My uncle was a steel worker who is suffering from the effects from 9/11 as he and his crew were there digging thru and cutting thru rubble looking for survivors.
He should of been heard out by all parties. But, we live in an era were these politicians won’t show because they don’t want to get roasted by a sharp minded individual. They don’t want to end up in snippets of an “owned” video on YouTube.
But this is something that all needed to hear. For one time i commend Jon Stewart.

This was all staged, if you can't see that, it shows your naivete. We all care, I care about heroes of 911. Never let a tragedy go to waist the Democratic montra.,Answer the me this! What A hole was trying to capitalize on the heroes circumstances. Jon is getting into politics.......bet me.
I get all that and I agree with you. There are a few things that are really important to me and I feel that sometimes the ends justify the means.

Well despite you said you agree with him, you also decided to bring in politics and make this about Trump, just because he doesn't like Trump. Well....what has Trump done about this? I think 99% of Americans will agree that the first responders of 9/11 are true heros. Why isn't their health care fully covered? Why isn't Trump tweeting about this issue today, calling for legislation to be passed ASAP? It will be easy to say Obama never fixed the problem, but he's out of office. Trump is in, and here we are, with our first responders still suffering.

I'm questioning why we're still having hearings about this because I don't know the answer. I'm further questioning why, of all the people who work so very hard for the people who suffered in 9/11, THIS guy gets an invitation to Congress, especially given he's a first rate jackass, this particular issue not withstanding.
If that makes me an assclown, so be it. I don't really care if you agree with that or not.
