Well, started raining cats and dogs and we were having flash floods and ended up accidentally driving through a large flood area since I wasnt able to see it. Water came up to my hips in the car. Positive its totaled. Water was so rough it ripped my front plate off.

Will keep yall updated.

Keep us posted.

Can you pull the plugs and get an inspection camera in the cylinders?

Just read this:
Advance Auto Parts - Down for Maintenance

I think about this situation now that I am in tampa.

My hood was tarped and not completely closed in order to gasket the oil pan. I just got the kmember back in and motor brace removed before any hurricanes; so hood is closed again. Also, the Lower intake is off to do HCM.

Hope you can save her.

Ouch! Sometimes it is hard to see how deep water is in torrential downpours. I was driving my Volvo back from running errands yesterday when all of that rain hit. I couldn't see 15' in front of me, hit some relatively deep water so hard I think it knocked the intercooler piping loose.

Be careful out there. Glad you're ok.

You couldnt see water that deep? Please explain how you cannot see that.

If the motor didnt suck in water provided the air filter is higher then that level I would guess, you can pull the interior out and clean electrical connections. Insurance will total it so if you get it back might as well try, if not part it out.
