Just picked up a 16 Premium GT and was wondering what short throw shifter you prefer. After doing some quick research it seems the barton is not compatible with driveshaft safety loops and the MGW is. Also there are 4 different variations of the MGW: Standard, Low-profile, Standard X spec, and Low profile X spec. Any advice is appreciated.

Well, ended up ordering the standard height x spec which is 21% in throw reduction. Is this something i'd be able to install on jack stands or is it easier to have a shop install it?

Mine is a 14, went from barton to mgw. Both installs in garage on stands. Easy $$

Thanks, will have to browse the interweb to see how involved the install is. Modded lots of stuff on my other mustang but this is my first manual car so we will see.

Right on, Im sure you'll do fine! Install yourself, & use labor $ towards more parts. Its a win win
