2008 Boss 3v vs 2010 ZL1 Camaro

Was beside a first gen zl1 camaro going 20mph. We both hit it and I stayed beside of him till 80mph, until we ran out of room. We didn't get a chance to get out of traffic to go again, so I am assuming that he was basically stock. My mods are in my sig. Anyone else have any other run-ins with these?

No such thing as a 3V Boss from ford at least. There’s a 3V Bullitt though. There are Shinoda Boss 3V’s though.

2008 was the first year the Boss Mustang was reintroduced. Although for the most part, they were an appearance kit. (Hence my mod list) There is the exception of the Saleen version.

The Camaro would have had to of been a 2012 since it was a ZL1. The SS debuted in 2010, I just know that it didn't have the updated front end. There is also no chance of my car running with a 600 plus hp car. Sorry, no trolls today fellas.

2008 had no "Boss" reintroduced. Ford didn't reintro a Boss configuration until 2012 IIRC. What you have is a aftermarket modified GT. It looks good, but it's no Boss, says so right in the link you posted

Oh boy. Sorry oP but you don’t have a Ford Mustang boss. It’s like me saying I have a 2012 mustang gt coyote, boss edition, installed by dealer.

So a supercharged 4.6 3 valve hung with a 2012 ZL1?

I see that as a large possibility.

My old 05 GT made over 450 RWHP on bad fuel that also had maxed injectors with a vortech and shorty headers.

There is also over a 400LB weight difference between an 05-09 GT and ZL1.

A halfway decent driver can get a supercharged 3V in the 11's, full weight. I went 12.2 @ 113 on street tires in over 100 degrees in my 07 GT with a non-intercooled vortech and stock headers (auto car)

Aside from you guys busting his balls about the legitimacy of the Boss moniker, the racing claim is legit, IMO. A 2012ish ZLI had 580HP at the crank and, as noted above, was much heavier.

His 4.6 likely has 520-540 at the crank with those mods (depending on the aggressiveness of his boost levels and tune), and is a much lighter car. Throw in gearing, the particular driving conditions (from 20mph, road surface, etc), and it would be completely plausible that he beat the ZLI, more less kept up with it.

Ah, I see.

The closest thing to a boss was the Parnelli Jones mustang and I did see a number of "Boss" cars from dealerships in Chicagoland.

They were a cosmetic package with boss stickers/emblems, but, nothing else, really.

Get what you're saying, though.
