One of my best friends was from there, Jeremy Logue. We were in the Navy together. I did visit once, cornfields.....lots of cornfields.Born in Champaign, IL, and live there for 23 of my first 24 years. The oddball year was spent in CA.
Then I went to school in Terrible Hole.....errrr....Terre Haute IN. After that, I moved to Peoria, IL for work in 2001, and I've been in that area ever since working for a major heavy equipment manufacturer for the last 18 years as a design engineer.
I'm really hoping to retire in the next 10-15 years and then plan on leaving Colorado. I really enjoyed living here until about the last five years. You're right it is getting worse everyday between the liberals, dope smokers, every week hail storms in the summer ,and all the congestion it's becoming a pretty miserable place to be. Not sure I'll go back to Texas, but definitely plan on heading somewhere in the south...Tennessee, South Carolina, etc. Then please fix it. I’ll accept purple for this state, but it’s gone full retard lately.
Traffic can be bad here but Charleston is a very beautiful city. My family is from Tenn just below Nashville, great if you only hunt and fish but boring otherwise in my opinion.I'm really hoping to retire in the next 10-15 years and then plan on leaving Colorado. When I think about Champaign I remember the bars and hot chicks from University of Illinois, good times. very good times. One of my best friends was from there, Jeremy Logue. We were in the Navy together. I did visit once, cornfields.....lots of cornfields.
I've got an old silo site complete with concrete base right in the middle of the back yard that I could use a D8 on...wouldn't take long to level that ****er and push the pad into the woods. I think it would be fun.Tide Head, New Brunswick, Canada
I run a D8T on the chip pile at a pulp mill.
I did some river rafting in CO, I really enjoyed the stay. It seems like CA though (full of gay liberal hippies). I think I would hate the snow lol.I'm really hoping to retire in the next 10-15 years and then plan on leaving Colorado. I really enjoyed living here until about the last five years.
