More and more the "Handling package" car is appealing to me. The carbon wheels make little sense for me and I don't need the worry while car is new nor when it comes to have the tires on them changed. My plan has been for a custom wheel all along anyway. The CF Track Package wing appeals to me but I'm not averse to the wing on the Handling Package car with the Gurney Flap installed either.

Really just looking forward to viewing the pricing schedule and seeing how much of a jump it is from the Handling Package to the CF Track Package.
As a die hard track guy I would NOT opt for the track pack. Id be buying this car for the street and the occasional lapping day, there will be slim to no difference between the handling pack and track pack as far as fun factor goes. Nobody is professionally racing new cars like this so why worry about a second or two. The track pack will be 99% for bling factor in carbon wheels and the big look at me wing, a big no thanks for me.

I wish a strike or protest was put up against the dealers asking ADM. Let them sit and somehow have Ford force their hand in a way. But getting all potential customers not bite the apple is impossible I know. But many today need to have it and will pay anything for it, results in the dealer knowing this and will continue markups from here on out. Sad reality.

Wouldn't matter. lol There would be enough customers out there that would be willing to pay it.

The 2013/14 GT500 set records for average day on lot from delivery until sold. The 2020 GT500 will do the same.

I'm not saying it's right or wrong...but ADMs are common on HIGHLY sought after vehicles with LOW production numbers. Supply and demand, just how it works.

It will be interesting to see how many people decide to send their 2020 GT500 to Shelby for the Super Snake upgrade. A fully loaded 2013-14 GT500 Super Snake was $160,000 including the purchase price.

That's really not that crazy. In 2016 if you were to have bought a new Super Duty and sent it to CABT to get it converted in to an Excursion, you'd be looking at $120,000. What's another $40k? haha

Hell, GT350Rs were bringing $125-150k out the gate (RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED).

ADMs wouldn't exist if people stopped paying them. Seems lots of people will pay extra to have the 'look at me factor' and are very vain. I want the car as it is BA and not to impress people. If you are you're buying it for the wrong reasons. When I find people who over pay I'm not impressed and the first word I say is 'fool'.

MSRP has nothing to do with you. its a statement from ford to the dealer, that your allowed to see. its suggested, thats it. what you call greed, is capitalism, and it only irritates you if the price for the object is beyond your reach.

and normal guys dont get $ without brains.. so, take solice in the fact im getting one, and then you can live vicariously through me, free

Wow this reeks of arrogance.

Who's smarter the person who over pays with an adm or someone that gets it msrp or less?

I am looking at the ZR1 at the moment and that is more rare now than the gt350r, those go for way under msrp. We maybe able to get it for $15k off which is huge on a car that will not drop like the Z06 IMO. Ford will certainly make these more than 1 year, and I expect 4-5k per year to be made. We shall see but again paying over like the R model of the 350 was a dumb choice as I told many on social media a year ago that you just wait, you threw away $30k and now look?

If people stopped paying adms there would be even less of a chance to buy one as the demand would be even higher at normal costs off the bat. Its simply a "too bad" scenario... If you have the money and want it, then buy it... Really couldnt be a more simple thing.

Now if you said Ford should divert more factory power into pumping them out like corvettes then maybe youd have a good point

They were not overpriced by Ford, it was the correct price and now look lol? Not sure on the exact build but there has to be more than 2k Rs than first thought correct? To me it is no longer rare. It is just an excuse for Dealers to rip off the consumer and they know Ford can not do anything about it. Once in dealer possession they can charge what ever they want. Not like they dont make enough with other car sales going on lol. "Its special" or "Its rare, need to add $30k ontop MSRP"

Could not agree any more with this comment. Again some people have "more money than brains" it is not the other way around when it comes to justifying getting raped lol.

Not really look at the Ford GT. Seems no one paided an ADM for those and the only difference was payment to Ford and the other was to a dealership. Coincidence? Some dealers are about a relationship and some are only about a payday.

The ZR1 will drop, just like every Corvette before it haha The mid engine is finally coming. $15-20k drop immediately.

Again, if no one pays it...they wouldn't be marked at that. There will be more buyers than cars produced, guarantee it.

Buying any brand new car is being raped anyway unless its a tax write off

I wouldn't go that far.

I'd buy 10 GT2RS' for MSRP.

Yea no doubt just like any Ford I have owned will drop, but Z06s drop even worse due to the saturated market. Yes the ZR1 will drop, but I do not expect to as much as Z06. 1 year run of this style, and under 2500 produced. Who knows how the mid engine will go over. I personally dont care for it, prefer current style. I would love to get the new GT500 over the ZR1 but I know it will not happen at the price it should be at. Do not mind paying if it is msrp is $90k, but add $30k greed money nah no way.

I’m sure there will be dealers willing to do MSRP on the car in year 2 of production. I bought my 14 GT500 in September of 2013 brand new for $3500 off sticker when some dealers were looking for $20K over. Just need to be patient and willing to put in the time to get the deal.

So, if the MSRP is $70K, why wouldn't you be willing to pay a $20K ADM?

MSRPs don't matter.

Does anyone negotiate at MSRP on a Fiesta, Civic, or Camry? No.
Does anyone negotiate at MSRP on a F-150, Silverado, or RAM? No.

All of these vehicles are priced well under MSRP, because that's what the market dictates. Vehicles priced over MSRP, only do so to follow the market. Period. If every dealer on the planet had them marked at $100k over, they would still sell a handful, but many would sit. Then they would start lowering their prices until it became the issue of can you replace it for what you're selling it for or not. In regards to the 2020 GT500, that answer will be no. Hell, I've seen dealers pay other dealers $25-30k OVER MSRP on GT350Rs... I sold 3 GT350s to dealers for $12k, $13k, and $15k over MSRP when they first came out.

I agree..pretty arrogant. I’m certain I can afford to buy the 2020 at the guesstimate MSRP. I don’t need or want the car bad enough to be hosed on ADM.
