It's true! We've made a lot of gains on this car the last couple years, from 1005whp in the summer of '17 to almost 1350 now.

Next morning after the dyno, I loaded up the kids in the car and drove it to Supercar Saturday car show. Could daily drive this thing if I wanted to, it idles and drives absolutely perfect.

Awesome. With the work you have done I would expect those numbers to be on par with results anyone could see. Great representation of the cobra community.

Very nice. Gotta love when hard work and patience pays off.

And yeah my car gets mistaken for your car all the time. Seems like every weekend I get the, are you badcobra?. I say no " he's twice the HP as I ". I tell them look at the license plate or the sound of the exhaust. 2 dead giveaways.

Thank you. Yes anyone can do this with enough money and the right people helping them. This build started 13 years ago, it has been a long progression to get it to this level. I have some really smart people that help me.

That's a lot of power, especially through the th400! Nice work as always Tony!
Hell yeah buddy, thanks! Car sure is fun these days!

Haha that happens. DSG and MG confuse people all the time.

I’ve talked to Accufab to build something very similar.
Head gaskets and dry decking are interesting points when talking over 30psi and 1500hp.
Who assembled the longblock?
I’m really leaning toward Coyote based now, maybe against my better judgement, but had spec’d those same turbos.
Glad to know they perform as expected.
Thanks for posting the details, amazing machine.

I know Accufab doesn't like over 30psi, but I have run over that for quite some time with no issue. I'm not going to get into an argument with JM over it, but I don't agree. You can run more than 30psi and be just fine, many many people do it. The Coyote tax is very real, it costs WAY more to make that power than a 4V does. My advice is if you have a 4V and all the parts, stick with it unless you are rich. My shortblock was built and assembled by Denny's Racing Engines in Denver, CO. We did all the rest of the assembly and degreed the cams.

Wow!!! I'm over here trying to crack 900rwhp through an auto lol.. SMH I'm doing it wrong.
Keep after it, wasn't an overnight process that's for sure.

LOL. I can well imagine that people confuse the two cars since they're both heavily modded and look similar.

@badcobra, that is really an awesome build making BIG power. What are you expecting/shooting for at the track?
