I finally nutted up and bought the set I really wanted. Ha ha. They were ceramic coated before the tires went on.

I went with S550 fitment in the rear for a little extra backspace (8" / +64) vs my old S197 15x10 RTS's (7.50" / +50). This tire (305/45 ET Street R) is also .5" narrower than the tire I ran last year (28x10.5x15 Pro Bracket Radial), yet has 3/8" wider tread width. So all told, these are in 3/4" per side more than my old setup.

Alumastars 17x4.5
MT SR Radial 27x6
RTS S71's 17x10 Single Beadlock (8"/+64)
MT ET Street R 305/45

I bought a silver 12 new before I had my daughter. I still love that color on a mustang. Super nice dude!

Nice choices John.
Also was glad to see the 27” option upfront, it’s about time someone made 27s.
Much better look than bulky 28s or too short 26s

Thanks Scott and Jay.

Jay - I'm glad I chose them. I was a little hesitant as I was concerned about them being too short, but glad I did it. I'm not a fan of a 28" skinny on a 17" wheel. Especially after running a 28" M&H Bias skinny on the 18" RTS last year. That's a fantastic look too.

Perfection sums it up well!

I'm curious how it's going to hook at the track with the bigger rim, please share once you get some hits on them.

I saw where MT released a 27 in front runners but they still done make one for a 18 in rim. The 27 looks right at home on there!

Thanks Riddick.

I've seen them work into the mid 1.2's in the 60' on S197's and S550's.

Email them. I emailed all 3 companies trying to get 27s made in both 17 and 18”, but they’re most important on the 17s. I like the front 18/28” and rear 17/30” combo currently going on the car (315/50/17 rears)
