Hey guys my son recently purchased a stock 2014 GT with around 64000 miles and is needing some advice on what to do with the suspension. Future plans are probably a pro charger and mostly straight lining. Trying to get some kind of game plan. Needs to be lowered for sure.

Upper control arm, lower control arms with relo brackets, strange adjustable struts up front and Viking shocks out back, throw in your choice of springs either drag type or lowering like Eibach sport lines. Then ride out. Good luck and hope he enjoys the new ride!

When you add the lower control relocation brackets, it adds allot of stress to the center section/axle tubes. You will want to have the axle tubes welded to the housing. I have seen countless stick cars on sticky tires, tweak an axle tube on launch. It pushes the tire forward into the inner fender. It's never pretty.

Upgraded studs wouldn't be a bad idea either. They are super easy to install on these cars. They go right in from the back side.

Whoa... didn’t know this. I have UPR upper with mount and lowers with relos all rod end bushings. How concerned should I be? Is this common or just a possibility?

My thoughts exactly but I appreciate all the help and information. Spent the last couple of years working on the Lightning and always scared that the next WOT was going to launch a rod and now it’s on to the next platform. Spent a lot of money on that truck just to make a little power but the forums sure helped me out with it. I’ve been lurking around here for a couple of years with my 2007 Roush Stage 3 but not much I could do to it. I’m ready to get started on this one.
