Is it possible to run E85 on a return less fuel system 03 cobra?
What size injectors and fuel pump should I use ?
[bcolor=transparent]2003 Cobra 5.0 MMR 1000 Short block 10.1 Comp.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]2.3 VMP GT 500 t body[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]Ported heads custom cams[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent][/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]I know 10.1 compressions a little high for a blower car on pump gas.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]So I'm looking to run E85 on return less fuel system for now till I get my return fuel system. Just need a little more $$$[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]Thanks for any input.[/bcolor]

Yes it is. It'll support right around 700rwhp. 80lb injectors with bumped base pressure, but preferably ID1050x. -8 fuel feed line, Fore stainless filter, modified or dual fpdm, KB 40amp bap, dual Walbro Ford GT E85 pumps in the stock hat, but preferably in a Fore dual hat.

Ya there are a number of ways to do it. I went that route back in the day but drivibilty was just not the greatest. Once I went return it cleared up a lot of issues.

I think the issue you're going to find is in order to get the returnless system to work it's going to cost almost as much, if not the same, as going return. I looked into it and the prices were almost identical.

This right here. I have actually done both and price was about the same. Now I did my own fuel lines so that saved a lot so that may be different now a days.

Not counting injectors, it will cost you around $1250 if you get the Fore dual hat (which can later be used in return style) with Walbro GT pumps, bap, modified fpdm, wire upgrade, - 8 feed with fittings, Fore stainless filter. If you use your stock hat with the GT pumps for now it will cost you around $470 less. If you go the dual fpdm setup and get a second stock fpdm with a wire harness it will be about the same as using a single modified fpdm.

Because I have not looked at numbers in years on returnless systems do you know by chance what power levels on E85 the Walbro GT pumps and Fore hat will support and same question for stock hat with GT Pumps?

That's about the price I came to. And that was finding the hat used with the GT pumps and using Fragola non-PTFE line. And I already have a spare FPDM and harness for wiring it in.

The $1250 price? Why are you using non-PTFE? For $1250 you can get everything new that I listed.

700rwhp through a stick, but needs to be used with a bap and wiring upgrade. Without the bap you're probably looking at 550-600rwhp. The stock hat will support very close to the same. The benefit of the Fore is that the wiring to the pumps is upgraded, it won't rust/corrode over time, and you can run - 8 directly to the hat and not have to use an adapter or modify the hat yourself by welding a - 8 fitting.

Good call on the compression, but FYI your setup on E85 is going to make more than 700rwhp, unless you keep the boost around 10psi or the timing really low.

That's what I was looking at when I was thinking of just upgrading what I had. I decided to go return instead so I picked up a Fore system through Malcolm. The price I came up also included all of the needed fittings and adapters. People tend to forget about those. Oh, and I was going to get fuel rails too so I wouldn't have to worry about pulling the blower down the road.

Well my combo on 93 made 659 hp 540 tq with #16 boost and 15-16 deg timing.
Now I'm ready to switch over to E85.

Looking for mid 700 HP on E85 What's are your thought's on a proper fuel system? Injector's fuel pump's Boost Timing?

Fore hat, -8an feed/return, FRPP 80s or some FIC 1000 or FID 1000. Boost I would look for at least 18. Timing will depend on your turner and boost and other things.
