DC comics has a lot to learn about movies. They fail miserably compared to Marvel.

Completely agree, Leto was the worst joker, and I personally thought suicide squad sucked. I really hope this is a good DC movie.

This looks very good. JP is an excellent actor. DC has the best material to work with but can't seem to get their shit together when it comes time to put it on the big screen.

There were hacked emails between the execs that outlined pretty clearly why this is. None of them know anything about the source material and their first priority is money only. Money is the objective no doubt but they were wanting to exploit just about anything and everything to make a buck. They weren't concerned about continuity or accuracy. Supppsedly a lot of that got figured out somewhat so a lot of the new stuff should be better and seems to be getting better, but they are definitely taking a direction no one expected like with Aquaman and now Shazam.

I actually think this has a lot of potential to be good! JP is pretty much crazy as it is so he is almost a natural fit for the role. He has that ability to get into the character like few actors know how. I think this movie will be different in that it could be a serious take on the character of the Joker and not so much an action packed superhero movie like it should be. I'm guessing they are going to use this to establish him as The Joker and get everyone familisr with him as the character and then they will cast him in a typical action packed Batman movie.
