So, I own a bone stock 95 cobra with low miles. 54K original.
Six months ago, a lady crashed into me on the freeway and as a result, my cobra became salvage that is now just sitting in my garage. :( Luckily most the parts look fine, mostly just frame and body damage.

I figure I might as well pull the engine and trani out and build them a bit since I've always wanted to (nothing too crazy), then drop them into a roller car for a badass little street build.

So, my question is, what would you do if you had this fresh engine to work on?
I go to school so i don't have crazy money to spend but I do have some cash to play with.

How would you go about this build? 350 hp would be neat :D
ALSO, where do you guys get all your parts from?

350 flywheel HP or rear wheel?
What year roller car would you want to put into?

You'd be surprised what you can get out of the GT40 heads and the Cobra intake by getting them properly ported. With Upgraded valve springs for the heads with a camshaft upgrade.

How much money do you have to play with, after factoring in the price to fix the body/frame damage.

Any pictures?

Closer to 350 rear wheel would be the goal. As far as the roller, I'm not set on one yet but MAYBE a foxbody roller or another sn95 v6 or gt roller. I want to be as light as possible so i would gut the whole thing. As far as porting, do you have recommendations where that could get done? I'm in cali.

I don't really plan on fixing the frame/body right now. But I have like 4k to spend. I'm going to post pictures.

Find some mething different to drop the drivetrain in. Find a Fairmont, or a EXP (remember those). That's what I would do with it.
Are you going to be parting the Cobra out at some point?

Probably not any time soon if at all. I'm going to use as much as i can from it. 4k does not include roller. I just want to get the drivetrain right first with upgrades and stuff.
