i have a turbocharged marauder 600-650whp on max boost, built trans circle d triple disk.
I've been told because of the weight of the car the 4r70w will never last at that power level no matter what you do to it.

We run the 4r70w in our Marauder at about 700-750 whp 4200lbs race weight. It seems to last 2 years before the intermediate clutches get cooked. But I am trying a different burnout routine to see if that helps. Not using any torque management in the tune either.

There is a turbo coyote car out there but it won't get put thru the race paces to see if the 6r80 lasts.

I can't get dad to 4r200/6r80. lol

It has extra clutches in the direct pack, none of the fancy billet drums yet, my trans guy likes using the transgo shift kits. Does have the 300m stub shaft.

3.4 whipple at about 25psi, 4.10s 31 spline axles detroit locker, circle d 3000 stall. Best 60' 1.39, ET 9.94 at 137. Run Hoosier 28x10x16 bias drags on a widened v6 stang wheel. Launch off a 2 step at 2300 rpm at 10psi.

We beat up diffs and 2nd gear needs reclutched every couple years. We race it quite a lot. Did drag week last year and scheduled for it again this year.

Good looking ride!

Fuel system is. I sumped the stock tank and am using an Aeromotive Pro Series pump with the speed controller to run E85 return style. It is a loud pump. Division X rails and ID 1300's.

Since in tank pumps have come a long way in the last few years, I'm going to figure out how to run a couple of those to get the car quiet again.

Not a Marauder or 6r80 but US Shift is putting a 10r80 in a Grand Marquis!

i've seen this, the 10r80 is basically a drop in because you can use the explorer driveshaft.

the 6r80 needs a spacer or a driveshaft made.

the controller last i checked is ready for the 6r80 but not the 10r80.
