I ended up selling my 2.8kenne bell that made 700 with a 3.75 upper 4lb lower on e85. Just got the 2.9 gen 3 standard inlet. Also decided to powder coat the valve covers and lower intake.
Still debating if I want to do the head studs since I have a lot of room on the driver side since I moved the booster. Ended up getting a set of ccw’s classics too I removed one isolator on all four corners. Just a pic

Do you think the 2.9 will be worth that much more over the 2.8?

Honestly I’m not sure. I’ve heard 750-780. But I also think the studs will determine how much I can turn it up. But it’s too late to turn back. Lol. Gotta see it through now. I had a running car making good power. Now I’m building her up again.

Any chance you could set it up for the same boost for a comparison or you going max effort?

If I don’t do the head studs I’m going for the same boost. 21-22. If I do he head studs then I might go for 24lbs. Honestly as this point I just miss having a working car.

Im at 20/21 on my gen2 and pretty sure 24 would just mean I'd spin through 3rd and not just second. Maybe I'll wait til the gen 5 comes out this fallo_O

Very true. They announced the gen 4 a week after I received my gen 3. Oh well. I was spinning through third on the kB with a stock clutch.

In for results. Good luck with the build.

whipple is stopping the 03 cobra blowrs at gen 4. That is it for us. No reason to keep swapping blowrs 20 times and going to gen 20 xyz. If your not happy with 700rwhp go turbo. or else you are just going in circles.

Lol. Very true. I should of been happy with what I had. But one think led to another and here we are. This is it till the motor is built and I add the crusher inlet and call it a day.

Well you can make more with a built motor pretty easy with the new blowers.

But at the same time, by 700rwhp you really need to be doing something more than just a DR. At least with a PD car and instant torque. I can stab it at any speed in 2nd between 40 and 70 and be sideways.

I'm going to work on some weight loss and suspension stuff for now. Might get some work boots (15s or 16s) for the back.

LOL ya that might be saving ya for now. I've got the FTBR full kit with cover and 305/35 MTs. Still blows em off in second unless I'm really tricky with the throttle and momentum.

But hey, you'll be getting sideways on the freeway in 3rd if you stab it. Just be careful!
