$140K? lol No.

Don't be so sure. Demons were selling for 140K when the first few came out. But those buyers were morons.

I expect the GT500 when fully optioned out will be a low 90K car. Yikes. Dealers will take on 10-20K markups. At the beginning. Big difference between Demon and GT500 is simple: supply. Only 3,000 Demons. The GT500 is being produced in much larger volume, like 7,500 a year. That's 15,000 in 2 years vs still just 3,000 Demons, ever.

I still can't believe we are now paying 100K for these cars.

There's a difference between some bringing ridiculous money, compare to the majority.

The first 2020 GT500 sold for $1.1 million, which makes it a million dollar car.

I'll go ahead and bet that the GT500 holds a premium longer than the Demons did.

The reason for the $1.1M sale was that the auction (BJ) was for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Charity auctions always go much higher than the norm.

I know Bob, was simply pointing out that just because one, or a handful of vehicles, bring stupid money...doesn't mean they're worth it or will always bring it.

Most Demons were sold with an ADM. Only 4 out of the 28 Demons I brokered, were bought at MSRP. That been said, 3,300 Demons is a lot of cars IMO, especially for how small the Dodge enthusiasts pool is compare to Ford's.

I know 9 people that purchased them. 7 were at MSRP. 1 bought at $5k over, and the other bought at $10k over.
I was offered one at MSRP, let the next guy have it, just wasn't what I was hoping for, with those bolted on ugly fender flares.
Have a GT500 allocation at MSRP as well, but probably get it.

That's true.
Not even a comparison to the Ford community as far as how many cars are out there. Plus, the Ford community as a whole is the best in my opinion.
I'm still thinking that the Demon is fast, but the GT500 will not be that far behind.

Fastest production car ever. Not what he's looking for. Passes. Huh?

To some, the appearance of a car is important too. Plenty of people who don't like the looks of a demon nor want a one-trick pony. For me, the tacky fender flares with glaring seams are enough for me not to like how the car looks. Subjective, but that's the beauty of being able to make a choice in America.
Edit: I'll give it to Dodge, that the motor is bad-ass and it definitely does what it does best for the price point. But don't just assume because it's the fastest straight line car under $100K that potential buyers won't pass one of these by, because it doesn't meet the needs of everyone. Personally speaking, I would rather have a 2019 Z06 that can turn well, fast in a straight line, looks great, and can drive around in the summer with the top removed.

Same here. I think it looks like a kit car with the fender flares. lol
My neighbor had a wide body Hellcat in his driveway earlier this year. Must have been a buddy of his. Ugly with those fender flares.
