Are you running a 6 rib or 8 rib set up? When I had the 8 rib in my 01 there wasn't enough room to upgrade the radiator. At least not without moving things around.

This is where Im stuck. I'm 8rib and had to trim down the depth of the shroud on a Mark 8 fan to make it clear the piping. The only way I can see it fitting is to have one with custom brackets to push it forward toward the AC condenser, eating up that 1-2" of air space (havent actually measured it).

My car (03 mach) runs a little warm at speeds below 35 when it's hot outside and the ac is on, I have the big procharger 3 core unit. I've found if I set the AC temp dial to 10-11 hands on a clock position it does ok but full cold it struggles. Once Im rolling its fine (Mark 8 fan, 180 stat <going colder didnt help>, adjusted fan turn on temps, coolant mix is mostly water with some water wetter since it doesn't get cold here).

So you have a stock radiator and live in a hotter climate than myself Illinois here and for the most part your fine. I should be ok then. I was looking at the mishimoto as they have a revised mounting bracket but I couldn’t tell if it moves it inward towards the engine. Is your Mach a auto or manual?

The revised bracket will not move it close enough to the condenser to matter to the best of my knowledge

Mine doesnt give me much issue unless it's like mid 80s or higher out and again stuck in slow moving traffic. Even if I can just cruise along at 25mph steady its ok. Creeping along if it gets up 220ish 35+ makes it drop back down pretty quick.

Manual car.

I don't remember having an issue with mine. I had the stock radiator, fan, and thermostat. I dropped the turn on temps for low and high about 10 degrees in the tune. So the temps were usually around 195-200. I drove that set up to Vegas and Arizona in the summer with the A/C going.

I have an F-1A with 8 rib HOB Renegade dedicated drive brackets that push the blower out a little more. All I had to do was slot the stock radiator mounting brackets and move it forward. I also had to trim the stock fan shroud too. Even doing both of those things though I still can't put any kind of filter on the blower so had to make do with a wire mesh to at least keep the big stuff out.

I have a 98 Cobra, but they're all the same under hood. I'm currently running an F1A-94 (previously an F1C-94) on the standard bracket with an 8 rib conversion and an aftermarket radiator with no clearance issues. The blower sits close to the expansion tank, but everything clears. Didn't need to trim or clearance anything.

You don’t run the normal charge pipe routing though right? My main issue is the charge pipes on the back of the fan

Yes, I run the normal routing and there is no issue at all. I have about 1/4" of clearance between the piping and the fan.

Do you have a cold air charge running into the fender? Because that pipe is about 2mm from the radiator for me. I tried uploading a pic but it keeps saying its too large! I always get that damn too large thing outside of the bedroom its crazy..... LOL

Open your pic in Microsoft Paint and use the resize feature to shrink it, save, then upload.

Bumping this thread back up. I am running the House of Boost bracket on my 99 Cobra (6 rib accessories, 8 rib blower). I've seen mention where people move the stock radiator forward to near flush with the core support, but I don't see how they are doing it. Anybody have any insight, or even better, pictures of how it is mounted in that case?

Do you have any pics of your rad/fan setup? Also, are you running A/C? I'm trying to figure out how to route the belt to include it.

No sorry didn't take any pics. Stock radiator and fan, just modified the radiator brackets to allow it to tilt forward to give the blower a bit more room. Yes I'm running AC in the stock location, the inner belt follows the stock routing, didn't have to change anything except for the '96-'98 timing cover.
