What insurance company?
What are the dimensions of your shop? I am trying to get some ideas for a new shop and am just curious.
I’ll answer for him, because I just built a 40x80 around the same time—it’s never big enoughThanks for responding. What would you do differently if you could?

My plan so far is to build a 50x50 with roll up doors on the front and back and a separate room on the side for washing in any weather. That way I can get the car in the back out without having to move the one in the front and no longer think it is too cold or hot to wash a car.
I too will build it high enough to put a lift anywhere it needs to go and to also allow me a storage room for a second floor. I want two lifts, a drive on and a post lift. The drive on will come up into the second floor so it can be used as an elevator.
Yes, I will do heat/ac, way too hot in the summer not to. One of the problems with the type of door that you used is you can't have a car on a lift with the door open unless it is a tall door opening. Is that correct or can that be done?
I like the idea of a fan, had not thought of that.
The 93 Cobra was my high school dream car too, and I was like a kid again when I bought mine. I have modded mine a bit to make it more enjoyable, but have the stock parts just in case they get 70 Chevelle LS6 territory. I’m not too worried about losing it’s value because it’s how I want it, and will more than likely never sell it anyway. These are incredible looking cars... amazing how valuable they have become. This was my dream car in high school. Unfortunately by today’s standards in stock form it’s a pretty boring car to drive though and if you mod it out it will loose it’s value. Quite the catch 22...
I often wonder what my 2004 will be like in another 10 years. It’s never lost value but hadn’t really gained either.

Ya, I need to revisit my collector agreed value, it's been a while since I've upped it.
Go as big as you can on any shop/garage build, you'll use every bit of the space. I went 30 wide by 40 deep with scissor trusses to get the high ceiling, and with a deck on the man door side, I can do 4 cars comfortably. Toss in a half ton 4 door truck and car, forget about it, not enough length to park them end to end.
What model 2 post is that? You buy it directly from Bendpak?
