All ancillaries are basically same cost, and F150 5.0s aren’t much more than LS. The stock Ford 6R is a deep 9s trans with zero mods. So you far ahead with a stock trans. Take a 5.0/6R from an F150, use factory ECU and add boost, and any light Fox can go 9s pretty easily. Other than OPGs, Coyotes need nothing for 800hp.This is the direction I would like to go, but all the research I have done shows that it is no where near the same cost. Can you tell me how you came up with this?
Other than the price of the longblock, there’s not much different with 5.0/5.3
