Been Awhile..

Used to be an avid poster. Love affair with vehicles fell off. Then marriage, kid, career etc.

I work in the medical field and learned a doctor friend of mine was moving to Hawaii. I knew he had a 2001 Lightning that he drove daily and ordered new back in 2001. It had close to 99K on it at the moment. He was asking 17K. At this point in time in my life I could only offer 10K and I did so 2 months ago hoping he wouldn't be insulted.

Last week, figured he found a better offer as I knew he would, and he asked if we were going to make a deal, and again I apologized as I could not offer his asking, and he said no no. 10K because I know you will take care of it.

So here I am with a 2001 Lighting with 99K miles and has been meticulously kept and babied, not to mention 100% factory.

Great find!! I was lucky enough to find a 2001 a couple of years ago with 158k for 6k. Had a few mods done and all the original parts came with it.

Yes very nice. Love the Lightnings. I had a 1995 Gen1 that I bought brand new and it was awesome. Then a new 2000 Gen 2 Lightning in that same Red color. Finally went back again with a used 2004 Black Gen 2. All 3 were great trucks and never any problems. Enjoy that new to you Lightning and congrats.

Sorry for the long absence. I swear as I get older the less I remember. I used to post constantly on here. Not sure how I did it.

Thanks again guys. After seeing more and more L's for sale I do believe I got a smoking deal.

Currently I have upgraded the headunit (apple car play spoils me), upgraded to a single amp that will run the stereo (first owner had to have 3 amps to power, keep in mind he installed in the mid 2000's. Crazy how far tech has come)

I have also done the center console mod, with new skins, carpet, mats as well as had the windows tinted.

Next up I am in line for a bumper to bumper evaluation from HPP and a Magnaflow CB, as well as a pulley change and tune.

Sportmachines had a sale on their wheels, so I picked up a set. They will be collecting dust for a bit until I can find a lowering kit I like.
