The 1.31 60ft is moving for such a heavy car. It sounds like he wasn't using the transbrake but just the footbrake on those passes.

I wish Ford made a factory street legal drag car like the Demon. Basically they need to make the Cobra Jet without the 10pt cage, full interior, 10r80, and a vin number. Yes, the Demon is expensive but people tend to forget how well built the car is from the factory.

According to some here, that still counts as stock lol.

Does it really matter that much to you?
Most of us, who actually race, aren't caught up in what tire the car is on. Maybe next time I see a car on a tire that didnt come on the car from the dealer I will chase him down and e-battle with him that it would be slower on a radial. Haha.

Just tires? Your the street racer expert right? Skinnies with a good rear tire can shave a half second off a 1/4 mile slip.
Expert? No
Street? I keep grudge matches on the track these days.
The Demon crate has skinnies, and at some point the tires will need to be replaced. Find what works for you and enjoy. If you lock on a set of MTs and drop half a second, I'm glad to hear it. Who cares if it wasn't OEM, it's a tire.

Such a slow, fat, ugly, stupid failure of a record setting, niche, 840hp, badass car. Junk.
I just don’t get the hate. I hope the gt500 can run close to that with those minimal mods. While not the car for me, there’s no denying how badass those times are. The brand loyalty blindness is strong here. If I lived near a 1/4 mile track, this would be my choice.

Agree 65k...some of the posts I've read about the Demon in particular are ****ing hilarious, if it were a GT500 drag focused variant stuff like that would be considered high treason.

You say tires really don't matter that much.

Got it.

I couldn’t hook for shit with the factory Nittos, so I threw on some MT et streets and picked up well over a half second.
I think my best 60’ on the factory Nittos was a 1.7.
I consistently cut low 1.4 on the MT. These cars are fun!

So, 110 RWHP was gained with pulley & exhaust?
More. It's 840 brakehp to 950 wheel....so more like 180+/-rw??
Impressive for the mods and Demon platform, 9.2 is moving.
Agreed a big part of those runs and the ET drop was in the tires. Not knowing the exact details of the car, anticipated it would trap a little higher with that power level ....950whp in an '18/C7Z/GTR is well into the 150 MPH +. In Houston that royal crimson '18 on 900whp was 154-156MPH

Man thats fast. New GT 500 is not going to touch this.....
Definitely no chance for the new Gt500 with mods to ever run low 9 .LOL Coyote motor with supercharger never hit low 9s before .

You're 100% right, an all season is no better than a full on slick. Guess if I ever actually raced I would know this.
