Today I fired up the stihl chainsaw that is 15+ years old and thought why would I ever buy another brand. It’s old, works like new, and has never failed. So what brands are you loyal to and why?
Stihl
Honda - power equipment
JCB - loaders and backhoes
Ford - duh
Apple
Coke - can’t stand Pepsi
Southwest - luv flying them
Mirage - favorite MGM property
Pretty much all of my TVs, appliances, and Chromebook are Samsung. I let a guy at Sams Club talk me into buying one LG TV and I hate it.
I prefer Dasani bottled water for some reason.
I own one Ford and two FCA vehicles. I actually prefer Dodge/Jeep but the service at their dealers is absolutely terrible which is the only reason I went back to a Ford.
Glock pistols......it's what I learned to shoot on and they are very durable. They are a great gun for someone who isn't a gun guy.
Cars - don’t believe in brand loyalty in this area, but if I was forced to choose one, Porsche.
Weapons - vintage style weapons. Semi, Bolt, Pump, Single, Lever, etc. Also like Swords, Axes, Maxes, etc.
Phones - been using iPhone since my second phone purchase.
Games - Xbox, I said **** PS after the crap that my PS3 pulled.
Car batteries - Interstate, since I’m a dealer.
Not big on brand loyalty in general. There’s pros and cons to any and everything from everyone.
Anyone who maintains a high quality standard will earn my business for important items.
As soon as they slip, I will look until I find someone who has a high quality standard and I will never use the other product again. It’s like dumping a women who cheats on you. The sex may have been great, but you will never trust her again.
For non-important things in my life, I’ll switch brands on a whim.
Let me tell you something... 12-15 years ago, in the middle of the "F&F" craze, "Honda" was a bad word for most of us because of little hatchbacks with fart cannons. But man, their power equipment lines are fantastic. I just bought a GC190 power washer and the thing is a beast. My father still has a GCV from 2003-ish? Runs like new.
As for brand loyalty? I'm on the edge with Ford. Craftsman has never let me down (see other thread), but I also have a sweet tooth for SnapOn and SK. Beyond that, I just go with what works.
Brooklinen - Best quality/softest bed linens; awesome service.
Wayfair/All Modern - Outstanding service.
Tommy Bahama - Ultra soft, superior quality jean, shirts.
Apple - What can I say, I love their products!
HP - My only choice for laser printers (personal & office).
Peets Coffee - Superior coffee. The BEST customer service!
Amazon - What I need, when I need it. Fast delivery. Excellent service.
USAA - Awesome service; great insurance prices.
LG - We love their TVs.
Don't really get the brand loyalty thing, here is what I like right now..
Vehicles - Ford, but would also buy GM.
Sled - Skidoo
Jetski - Seadoo
Beer - Sleeman clear
I want to think I'm a Ford loyalist, but even I've strayed a few times. So it could happen to anybody. I've had a Honda Prelude (great car), Subaru Impreza (loved it), Acura TSX (one of my favorite cars we've ever had), and a Jeep Renegade (biggest POS ever made). We're an all-Ford driveway right now, but that's not to say it won't always be that way. Matter of fact, our next purchase will very likely be a Lexus RX suv
-Ford (my father worked for Ford for 40 years) If it wasn't a Ford, it wasn't allowed I'm the driveway when I was growing up (Yes, I'm serious)
-Blue Moon (tastiest beer on tap)
-Poland Spring (because the others taste like shit)
-General Hydroponics (been using their products for 15 years)
-DeWalt cordless tools (Have always used DeWalt drills/saws/impacts etc)
If I'm going to buy a vehicle from a domestic OEM, it's going to be Ford, end of story. Been burned waaaaaay too many times by the rest of the brands. It's to the point that it's comical to me when anyone suggests the other brands are on par in terms of quality.
Other than that, I can't really think of any brands I'm loyal to. There are plenty I favor over others in their segment. But none that I'll never consider straying from.
