2018 GT with Roush TVS package vs 14 GT500; speculation only

A guy at work is getting a 6-speed 2018 GT PP1 with a dealer-installed Roush package / 2.65 TVS blower. From what I understand, they make about 700 crank HP. I'm wondering how we will fare against each other if we line up one day.

I have a 14 GT500 with a 2.8LC KB Stage 3 kit @ ~17-18 PSI, Lund tune, catless H-pipe, drag radials, 4.10 gears in a Moser M9. I guess I'd be in the low 700 WHP ballpark...a pretty comfortable edge... but I haven't really seen an S550 with a 2.65 VMP in action. I haven't been on the dyno or to the track. Opinions?

If he's got an auto it will be close, but also he's probably on street tires, so who really knows

Also if you don’t want to worry about that, run some octane and a smaller pulley.

I won't say I'm the best driver, but I'm not the worst. I can at least look good with the N2MB box that is in the car....lol. I guess i'm wondering how well the S550 chassis with that package plants 600+ hp on the street vs the S197 GT500.

Rubber makes the difference on this one. Hope you have real tires given your set up and gearing.

305 Nitto 555r's...they need a lot of heat in them to hook. The suspension is all BMR in the back. If the tires aren't heated, it's like trying to take off in an oil slick with PawPaw's 460cid open diff F-150 shoed with whitewall P215-65R15 Cornell 808s.

Given equal drivers and tires you've got 100+ whp on him still. He has shorter trans gearing, but you have lower rear gear. I think you'd take him with equal drivers and traction.

Ive seen videos of a Bolt on E85 A10 car beating a roush blown 6 speed manual car of the same year. Don't think you will have a problem

Cool...since he hasn't asked me a lot of questions about mine, I haven't said much. I don't think he knows much about the SVT cars, so maybe I'm doing a little sandbagging by default.

Lol...no shit talking or challenges have been made. The company I work for has an extreme safety culture, so it would probably go down randomly unannounced, far from work. There's another guy with a stock m6 hellcat....haven't exchanged punches with him either. He's scared though.

Pick on the Hellcat too, there slugs with the stick. 2.29 first gear, 4400# haha.
