I am setting up the engine for a recreation of a 2000 COBRA R and the main use will be the track, I have seen that several members of this forum really enjoy their 2000 Rs in their natural habitat, the track, to them who have modified their engines for get more power and better performance, can you tell me what oil pump you have installed in your engines ?

Thanks in advance

My original 00R engine had a standard 2V oil pump and pick up tube in it. I replaced them with a 13/14 GT500 oil pump with Billet gears and an 03/04 cobra pick up tube.

NVH block .020 over. Offset ground crank, eagle rods for an ls, custom dimond pistons for around 11.7:1 compression, GT heads with pac springs and crower 62822-4 cams, cobra r intake. I just finished getting the car together and working on tuning.

Not good news. I started a post asking about cam tower movement. After the engine gets to temp there is a squealing like a belt. No belt slip, cooling pressure holds, need to double check if glitter is in the oil (first time had no glitter), and would like to take oil pressure reading from the heads. The down side is I no longer have time to test any of this. I'm military and moving over seas, the car was suppose to go with us. It will be going to the father-in-laws until I can revisit in three-ish years.
