Changed out my old K&N filter after numerous cleanings. It has been on the cobra since 2005 when I purchased it. Also tightened up my Fiore firewall adjuster for the clutch.

Packed mine up for winter yesterday and woke up to 2 inches of snow this morning...

Already got a box of new stuff to be added. Going to be switching to E85 and new 93 octane tune.

Going to be adding speedhut A/F GUAGE and innovate lcm2 sensor

Upgrading my fuel pumps to dual 465 walbros

Looking at new injectors as well possibly the ID1050x for a smoother idle and running car.

I haven't physically done anything to the car lately, but I have spent the last week ordering a plethora of mods for it. Earlier this year I put Bassani mid-length headers and o/r x-pipe on it. I have the list of items in my sig in boxes waiting to go on the car starting this weekend, as well as a couple more items that I'm ordering today. S/C rebuild kit, Intercooler Reservoir, and possibly a wide-band.

I got up at 8 this morning, eat breakfast out the door by 9:30am drove 330 miles for a rear 03/04 cobra rear bumper. Bullstuffed with the seller for a minute then drove 330 miles back home.

Yes all for a bumper that I plan on putting a hole right in the center of. lol

And sure Troy will put up a "no pics or it didn't happen" comment, too lazy after all that to snap a couple pics.lol

Drove mine today and hunted down an issue i was having with my aerofroce interceptor gauge shutting off and not working. Wound up finding the power wire for the map sensor had constant 12v power going to it even when it wasn’t connected to a 12v source. I kept blowing the Data link connection fuse so the obd2 port wouldn’t communicate with the gauge, so i also discovered if i disconnected the obd2 harness from the port ( the one that runs from the port to the gauge) that map sensor power wire stopped showing 12v power when it wasn’t connected to a power source. Looks like I’ll be contacting Aeroforce Tuesday and sending the gauge and sensor back for them to figure out the issue. I’m assuming the gauge is messed up and back-feeding to the sensor some how.

The pinion seal on my vert had been leaking so I finally got the chance to fix it.

As far as I can tell, not too many of us run an LPW cover. But I’ve had mine for years, and it’s been great.

Dorman makes a nice kit which includes the seal, a replacement flange, and the nut. It is part #697-507. I like to replace the companion flange when I do a pinion seal because a groove tends to wear into it at the spot where the seal rides.

Removed the old flange with a generic 2-jaw puller.

I’m a Rotunda/OTC special tool "enthusiast", so whenever possible I like to use the tools that are specified in our factory Ford service manual. The three tools shown in this picture are: 205-126 (T78P-4851-A) flange holding fixture; 205-002 (TOOL-4858-E) flange installer; and 205-208 (T83T-4676-A) pinion oil seal installer.
DSCN2405.JPG

^An aside note for my fellow technical geeks: our service manual calls out 205-133 (T79P-4676-A) as the seal installation tool for this job. HOWEVER, IT IS INCORRECT! The inside diameter of 205-133 is not large enough to fit over the pinion shaft as it protrudes out of the housing, and won’t allow the face of the tool to reach the sealing area. #205-208 (T83T-4676-A) – which I believe is identical otherwise - has a larger inside diameter (no step down) so it easily fits over the pinion shaft. Perhaps this is an oversight that has never been changed in each subsequent years’ service manuals, but they must have known it was a problem because they started making this tool for the 8.8 four years later! LOL

#205-002 pulls the new yoke in properly.

My rear was built with a solid pinion spacer, so I didn’t need to worry about any of that pesky marking and measuring to try to duplicate preload. Use #205-126 to hold it steady, crank that bad boy down to about 140 ft-lbs, and I’m done!

I need to contact Aeroforce about mine. The display will fade out if it's hot outside. And I've been getting lines that run up and down the screen. The bitch about it is that the screen has already been replaced once.

Yeah i took a picture of my receipt from when i purchased my gauge and I’m going to write them an email tonight. I’m thinking something’s wrong with the gauge itself. Didn’t have any problems until i added the map sensor

Started tuning with 03Sleeper, and he noticed spark blowout. I've never changed the plugs since I bought the car, so figured now would be a good time to check & replace. The old plugs were Motorcraft Platinum (were these the stock plugs?) and the gaps on them ranged between .040-.043. Took those out, put new TR6's @ .025 in and so far so good. Hope I don't peg the MAF, but its looking that way.. guess I'll have to find a BA2600 someone has laying around to buy.

Now if I can just get 1-2 days of decent weather I can finish this car up & put it away for the winter.

I have a VMP100MM maf which is bigger in diameter than the 2600 and will give you room to grow. I self tuned mine so I know 04sleeper can, the maf transfer data is available on VMP's website.
