Well I opened the doors for the first time in many months, found white mold everywhere. Door panels, lower dash, carpet, seats, you name it. Guess I have an appointment with a gallon of white vinegar and borax tomorrow!
Where was this stored? What type of climate?

In my garage in Houston humidity. Probably should have kept the windows cracked for air flow. After I clean it all today I’m doing the kitty litter in a tube sock trick to keep it from happening again.

Damn that sucks! I know your house has to be fairly new....I would not be shocked at all if the slab is still gassing considering the conditions we've had, the water tables never go down very far making concrete curing duration last stupid amounts of time.

During the construction, right after the cover inspection but before the sheetrockers showed up.....I insulated the walls. Then blew in pink panther above the ceiling after I closed. Waited 2.5 years from the slab pour and layed down my epoxy floor. It's really dry in there now. Now if Santa brought me a minisplit, I might live out there lol.

I live in Northern VA and this summer we had 43" of rain. I keep the car covered with a indoor cover and noticed the bottom of the cover was damp, pulled the car out and the concrete was a wet color.

I now run a small blower fan similar to what you would see at a dyno to keep air moving under the car. I also always always put a container of DampRid on the arm rest to avoid interior moisture issues.

Yep only 2.5 years old, you're probably right about the concrete. I saturated everything with white vinegar and put a large fan pointing in the car with doors open, all clear now. Going to go ahead and do full detail and set desiccants inside.

Desiccant is definitely on the list now.

In other news I figured out my Treadstone intercooler fitment problem: due to the 15 degree cant in the outlet, it won't fit with any amount of trimming to the headlight panel since the outlet flange runs up against the ac condenser (street car, gotta keep AC in Texas). So I flipped the intercooler around and it's a perfect fit with the outlet angling away from the condenser with perfect clearances to the headlight panel. Only problem is now the inlet is on the wrong side, luckily the vendor is letting me exchange for the right configuration. This is all so I can make a ~$500 intercooler work versus spending $1500 on a custom unit.

Made a couple packs of desiccant to put under the seats and left the rest of the 8lb bag opened and sitting on the floor in the back. I also left both windows cracked open a touch for air flow, not sure if needed but I figured why not since it sounded good. Anything else I should do while I am at it, this will be my first winter season storage up in Ohio. All fluids are good to go to include intercooler coolant.

Guess I’ll try the desiccant thing. I always put that window plastic sheet underneath the whole cobra.

Didn't do anything in particular to the cobra today.

.....BUT as I was sitting in stop in go traffic I can faintly hear someone yelling in the background "buddy, buddy!" I had the top down and my stereo in not so quiet mode.I look over to my right to see an older guy in that horrificly ugIy big infinity suv (qx80?) I figured he wasn't happy about the loud music. He proceeded to ask me if its supercharged or turbo swapped, how much does it make at the crank? I tell him it what it made at the wheels. He then tells me nice car man I used to have a twin turbo supra years ago. I told him cool I ove those cars. He then says "Those cobras always gave me trouble" made me laugh, then traffic resumed and we went about our day.

Had to share, it made my day

Finally found me a welder/fabricator that will make my intercooler pipes for a good price! He comes with a personal reference (only way I like to work) so hopefully the quality is there. This 4 year project is almost complete!

Keeps air moving under the car and prevents moisture from coming out of the concrete. Had an instance this year where the entire bottom of the cover was damp to the touch.

This is easier to me than putting a tarp down on the floor, so I can work on the car episodically throughout the winter.
