Hellcat driver obviously doesn't know his car very well. Buddy of mine has an intake tune one making high 600s. My old setup on a boosted auto coyote make 630 wheel and 700 pounds lighter was running door to door from 40-140. Even in an auto you have to be in the right gear/mode to really push the car. No, hellcats properly driven are far from slow, Good kill either way.

No response yet from OP But I’m game. Also, my car only puts down 650rwhp. So, if your way past that the drive may not be worth it.

I’m only around 500 rwhp cam and heads so should be interesting. Pm me if you and op get together or just wanna do some friendly runs .

One of the guys on the Hellcat forum runs 9.48 in the quarter mile. I forget the trap speed.
It is modded of course, but it's under 15lbs of boost.

Great kill! The HCs are fast but not unbeatable.

Hell... last Wednesday night at our local track an HC Charger went 122 mph about 30 minutes after my lowly 10r80 GT went 115 mph.

My 2014 MT82 Coyote trapped 127mph on the same track with a Paxton making about 580whp....

EDIT: went back through my phone and looks like I have video of 2 different HC Chargers both going 122 mph lol.
hmmm, last time I was at the track I was trapping 120.. terrible ET (im beyond rusty at this point) but I know that even with my lowly M122 she'll move. Need a better driver mod and my trans rebuilt. lol

OP, nice kill. Fun hearing about HC's getting taken out.

I wonder if that tard that had the Miata then leased a Hellcat makes pulls in it. Anyone know?

He's known for throwing nitrous on leased cars, so who knows.

Good kill OP, but to boast about beating essentially a stock HC with your blown SS is similar to Honda guys boasting about beating 03/04's after they put a turbo on their gutted shitbox. What did your SS run stock? I've been 10.67 20" DR's only. Pretty sure that is bus lengths faster than any stock SS? And clearly you have way more done than just an LSA blower. CTSV's stock are HIGH 11's low 12's stock, and 470rwp. I know, I have one. And in my experience an intake really isn't worth but 10-15 hp. I had a K&N on my car. Best with that was in the 10.8's. Went the 67 stock airbox, @129.

So cliffs: Highly modded blown SS takes out stock HC.

A tuned Hellcat Charger should be putting down around 690-700 rwhp with a curb weight around 4550 lbs. With drag radials the Charger should be running mid to upper 10 sec 1/4 mile.
Modded SS making 600 rwhp (per your dyno thread) with a curb weight around 4000 lbs. SS manual vs Charger A8.

If you putting 5 car lengths on him, from 50 to 130 mph, it sounds like the Hellcat driver did not know what he was doing.

Agreed. I would think with a tune it automatically has TC off and in better trans mode, but with those left on my car feels like a turd. too many nannies.

You’d be surprised how often that is the case, Booky. People think going fast in an auto is just slamming the pedal to the floor. More to it than that. Especially in these torque monsters....

Good kill OP. Come run some of our Hellcats :)

Yep, especially from a roll. From a dig tire vs tire I'd put money on the HC.

No offense, but can't that be said about anything then? I put a blower on my C7 and raped a stock Hellcat so now it's compareable to some shitbox? If a modded Hellcat beats a Mclaren 720 then all of a sudden that's not impressive because it's modded? What's the point of modding then? I've never looked at races that way, I don't know maybe that's just me. When your out having fun, you run what you brung. You don't say hold up let me go swap out my car for something stock so we can see who's faster. Lol, anyway not trying to ruffle feathers, just thought that was a weird analogy.

Probably the comment about it being astock lsa on 91. And that op wasn’t impressed with hellcats. It’s a great kill but don’t downplay your mods.

its the fact he's bragging and downplaying a vehicle that was stock...

when said vehicle would brutally ass rape his car if it was stock....

just seems odd.

Like HEY GUYS MY 800 WHP CAR BEAT ONE THAT'S 640! GUYS!! Guys?

No one to high five.
