Drivers side 98 cam is installed, now its just time to button it back up. I'm hoping to get the valve cover back on tonight so silicone can setup enough for me to start it tomorrow. Its supposed to be 90 degrees out today so I'm regretting not doing the swap down at the Air conditioned shop. Got to love Kansas 1 day it in the 60's the next its in the 90's.

Awesome. I agree about the weather it’s bipolar in Ohio as of the last week and a half.

First time out and you broke it? Mind sharing more details as to how the event unfolded? What kinda tires were you on and what size? How were you launching (rpms, slipping or dumping it etc)? Any IRS mods? How much power are you putting down? Just curious is all. I broke one once when I accidentally dumped it at 5500 making 720/630 on 28x10r16” Hoosier slicks.

Yep, first time I ever drag raced at the track lol. First pass launched around 2500 & ran 11.9 @ 122 heat soaked (120f IAT2), but bogged a bit off the line. Car made 530whp and has MM irs kit but stock spindle bushings (probably should upgrade those)? Next pass, slipped the clutch around 3500 and stabbed it when it was time and BAM. I'm sure my rookie mistakes and the 305/18 555r didn't help lol

16" wide?
10” wide tires in 16” rims. 28x10r16 are the tire sizes. They’re bias ply tires.

Drag radials at the track on 18” rims is where you went wrong. You need a lot more sidewall than an 18” rim can provide. I’m not sure what you mean by spindle bushings?

Wash, claybar, paint correction M105/M205 combo, Wax. Swapped out the wheels, polished the Bogarts and just a little polish to the Borla Stingers. And the engine too! Getting ready for car show on Saturday just to have an 80% of rain too...damn it! I've already paid my entry fee and its rain or shine at Cooks Garage Showdown here in Lubbock.

I finished the cam install last night and test fired, the car runs great, but unfortunately we have rain in the forecast the next 4-5 days. I'll probably let the car run for a little while in the garage over the next few days to check for leaks, then I'll do an oil change.
Nice! Cant wait to see how it all finishes up

I installed a fore L2 kit. Metco 4lb lower. Re did suspension and added standard length subframes from mm. Just waiting in a base turn to fire her up. Tested the fuel system and no leaks. Just need to set the pressure and start it.

I wound up installing my fore regulator in the passenger side fender well behind the splash guard and let me tell you that thing is f-ing loud when the car runs and the radio isn’t on.

Yes. When I tested the system I heard the regulator when I was checking for leaks. Oh well. It will Keeps the temps down being there.
