I don’t have my hard copy anymore so I bought it, logged in, and still have my progress from 9 years ago. Same load outs, same prestige level, same Spec Ops and Campaign progress. It’s incredible. The game itself has certainly aged as shooters have come a far ways since it was released. And since it dropped yesterday, it was tough to find a match. But it was still a lot of fun to get back into it.

I’m hoping this is step 1 to gauge true interest on a remastered version.

Thanks for the heads up, I've got modern warfare remastered and have been loving it. Really takes me back to the good old days lol . I've been out of work the last few days and rented cod ww2 and it's pretty good too, none of the futuristic crap is my cup of tea so I really strayed away from the franchise years ago

I couldn’t agree more. MW and MW2 really were glory days of CoD. Up until WW2, it was in a steady decline. All the futuristic stuff was absolute trash.

I do, and am 10th prestige 70. Every time I would join a lobby I'd hear everyone going 'oh wow look how high he is' and shit like that....

Oh believe me I can tear up a map without noob-tubes. I got banned from many Far Cry and Crysis servers for "cheating" even though I was playing fair and square. BF3 was the same way. KF1&2 I'm at the #1 spot almost every time I play. I did get pretty upset over the Crysis thing- that was New Year's Eve '07. Changed some of the XML stat data, rejoined some of the servers I had been kicked from, and flooded the map with glitched nukes until the server would lag and crash. Took down 50+ of them in less than an hour.

RTS games? Single player, I'm good. Multiplayer? Damn. As soon as I'd see an Asian username, I logged out. "Oh good, I have 4 workers now" *Gets over-run by an entire damn army*

yes cuz its wack lolol any 6 year old can shoot a noob tube with Danger close in the 'general direction' of the enemy, and get kills.

We had some SICK svtp lobbies in MW2, and Black ops and other games before your time here...

Let's just say some of us from here were insane.. like 75-10 games. Not once has ANY of us ever banned because we were " too good"

Actually, I've never even heard of someone being banned for being too good. I follow a LOT of famous gaming youtubers, who crush games on the regular... not once have they ever been banned.

Maybe @Zemedici has seen someone get banned for being good at a game but I sure as hell havent

I normally don't brag about anything. Rather self-deprecating honestly. But when it comes to games I used to be insane. Yeah I did the whole noob-tube thing on MW2 sometimes but I was also very good at getting into the fray, no-scoping, snap-aim, etc. Other games, like UT/UT04/3, FarCry, Crysis, KF, didn't have the same magnitude of noob-tubers so you either developed real skill or got trashed. Since I hit the "everything starts to go to crap" age, my "skill" is starting to wane. Can't play like I used to. I'm still "good" but well past my prime.

My strategy on FarCry was learning the ramp points on every map to get into the woods and knifing campers or anyone near the woods before disappearing back in the woods. I saw a German dude do it one time like a ghost on crack and figured I'd give it a go. Not glitching or anything.

MW2, aside from the noob-tube spawn blast, was really just being good at snap-aim

The only times I hacked/glitched was when I got kicked/banned for no reason (usually some kid was a sore loser and they'd vote-kick), which was only Crysis and FarCry1, Not MW2. It happened a lot, not just to me. In Crysis, I had a mouse button set up to de-cloak, so I could pull off fast moves and people hated it. Totally legitimate, it's just making use of a side button which you can map anyway. Playing as a cheater is no fun, no skill, no reward, and I don't condone it.

Ahhh the good ol days of MW2 and WOW. Get home from work, eat, drink and play till about 2-3AM then do it all over again the next day.
