Battlefield V beta released Sept 6th

So for whatever reason Battlefield tends to update their Instagram page before anything else with trailer drops and betas. The first available beta for players will be September 6th.

So with the controversy of employees resigning before launch, female characters and general attitude towards the community. Who plan on actually buying the game.

Personally, I've only ever pre-ordered a GTA title and have done so for all their titles but I've played Bf1942 on PC and skipped bad company. I also skipped BF1 since I knew it was a trash genre from a mod developed for BF2 way back in the day. I think this title is going to be solid!!!! I'm excited, definitely feel like the millennials are attempting to control EA

Meh. BF1 bored me. BFV (Five not Vietnam) may have good gameplay, but honestly Im probably not going to buy anywhere near launch.

100% turned off by a company that essentially told me to accept them shoving SJW shit down my throat if I play or dont buy the game. Literally every BF title on PC Ive owned. STILL play and enjoy BF4 (best in the series so far). Wont buy this one. Not until its heavily discounted if that.

Makes me very sad that THIS is what DICE has turned into. I always thought very well of them and their product that Ive enjoyed for years. Literally since it launched in 2002. Now, 16 years later I have no desire to buy their game? The gamer in me is sad.

Im absolutely looking forward to Red Dead Redemption 2 as well as Ghost of Tsushima. RIP BF: 2002-2018

I still play BF4 every now and again. Been a fan of the franchise since '42 but after playing the BF1 beta it was a pass for me.

BFV doesn't look very good either and the fact that they're peddling a political agenda within the game makes it worse.

Nothing wrong with having a female character per se but the way it represented is just laughable at best.

If they wanted to have a female character why not make her a Russian Sniper? Lots of those in Stalingrad and they were as badass as they come.

I played the closed Beta and I was impressed, they've never had a game in beta that wasn't total garbage but I had no issues, no bugs. It was actually fun, where bf1 I played for a whole 10 mins and never touched it again, BF4 tho, my ATF.

Difference is that its a fact that there were no amputee women serving on the front lines or in SF units with the British forces in Europe.

We all agree Bf4 is awesome but how many titles can you pitch on modern warfare until you start doing what COD does. I'm surprised since bf always had poor launches in regards to bugs.

In all reality they went back to their roots as a franchise to reinvent themselves and the amputee women running around I have a feeling will get nerfed

Between how unpolished and buggy EA’s games are at launch and their overall “**** you” attitude toward their own player base, I’ll probably never preorder an EA game ever again.

Not to mention the reason I play the BF franchise is for it’s pseudo realism. I get that it isn’t a historical re-enactment like Arma or Red Orchestra. But BF4 (probably the best military shooter I’ve ever played) was at least true to the era. And even though I wasn’t big on BF1, I at least felt as though they were trying to put me in the WW1 mentality and environment. This steampunk vibe that BF5 has does not resonate well with me. I’ll have to see how the gameplay is and how the community supports it. But at face value, it’s not my bag.

Yeah I'd have to agree that with the smug attitude I don't plan on pre-ordering. However, they do launch the beta on open access to attract skeptics. I think at this moment the early beta is purely damage control from the media pushback. I also believe the game will be good and somehow the franchise will attract most the nay-says but at the same time players rejoice at the idea of a pushback similar to Star Wars Battlefront but fail to realize that battlefront caters to a specific gamer to the beginning. EA is trying to drop the players back in the WWll game outbreak of the mid 2000s with detail to graphics and ability.

I wouldn't be surprised if the beta is a major map like Market Garden or Battle of the bulge. All in all most players will agree that even with the most optimistic players, nobody really wants to pre-order.

You can have the Italians fighting in Somalia, Japanese fighting Chinese and the Polish trying to fend off the Nazis and Soviets.

It would let you enter a whole slew of “not seen in games before” weapons and vehicles. Polish Calvary, Chinese swords and spears... shit you’ll even have the actual real god damn Wakanda
