About the only thing that looks better on this truck compared to the Raptor is the 3rd brake light.

It might look different than that. Since the one pictured here is obviously not made here in the US (Australia) it could be just testing drive-line etc here and the skin will be different for the US market.

Hoping at least.........

Not really a fan about anything on these....Id take a new Canyon over one. Not even a small truck anymore- seems nearly the size of my dads '12 F150

There is video from Thailand of them making LHD Ranger Raptors right now! Should just be RHD for Asia specifically Thailand (sans China, Nam and a few others) and Australia?
Watch at the end of the video... where it shows the center display showing "raptor" you can see the wheel to the left of the center console...

Just looks so bland. In this segment the Tacoma really looks the best. Obviously performance may differ but I just wish the ranger would have had a more aggressive look in some way.

why does the front end have to look so car-like... bleh... even the worlds most bland brand toyota has them beat by a mile

Agreed.

It's a bit soft looking to me, but I don't think the red paint is really helping it.

Definitely looks better in this color at this angle:

The problem with the new Gen taco, is they are really under powered. I have a Gen 2 4.0 truck and it could drag the new one threw the mud in 2wd. Most of the Gen 3 guys find they lack balls.

Hoping Ford's diesel version delivers with good power/towing.

Lol we don't even know what it comes with yet.

If it's got 325hp/400tq with drive modes, active fox shocks and a quick 10 speed it shouldn't have any issues with the TRD or the ZR2 in most situations.

Talking only about looks.

Not power or suspension. Those I'm not worried about, as ford does that segment right.

Looks super bland. Then again, so does the Colorado ZR2 without the light/roll bar on the bed. Speaking of the ZR2, the Ranger Raptor is going to have some stiff competition. From everything I've been reading and watching lately from off-roading channels, the ZR2 is as good as the F150 Raptor. Some even say, because of its smaller size, the ZR2 is better than the F150 Raptor! (Then there's rumor of an even more extreme ZR2 Bison coming to production!) The biggest downfall to the ZR2 is the snore inducing interior. The Ranger definitely has it beat there.

The mexico Ranger i got to look at was actually pretty nice. Almost the size of my sierra, but nice regardless. Ive driven a couple of ZR2s and they can soak up some bumps nicely.

If I am in the market when the little Raptor comes out I will give it a look, but honestly a F150 STX with Kings would probably be cheaper IMO
