I need to get a new set of summer tires in 275/35r18 and 295/35r18. I had NT05s and the dry performance was great, but the treat just doesn't last long enough. I am, unfortunately, also finding that there doesn't seem to be as many options for 295/35r18s as there once was, likely due to cars moving towards 19s. 285/35r18s seem to be much more available, but as I believe my rears are 10.5s, I'm not sure if 285s are going to look weird.

I don't drag race or autocross, I just want something good for when I go tooling around or want to punch it off a stop sign/light.

any suggestions welcome.

Sir
Can you explain any differences between the old ET Street II and the new SS.

The traction just doesn't seem to be the same with the SS.

Hi MG0h3-

It's my understanding that the SS and ET Street II utilize the same rubber compounding (R2) and internal construction. The main difference is the tweak in the tread pattern for increased hydroplane resistance.
