Glad I found this forum, it looks like a good place to learn about these rare cars from knowledgeable people. So I purchased the car from Avant Garde in Oregon earlier this year and I just love the car. Couple of questions: Does anyone on here have any info on the history of the car? Also, will a regular 94-95 GT h-pipe fit on an R? My car has an off-road h-pipe and flowmaster dumps on it, not a good combo for CA emissions.

Thanks,
John

Welcome aboard, your car looked really nice, I as well as a few other members here looked at it, for me price as well as distance killed it for me. I know that they had it for sale for a while (at least 4 months) and when I called they didn't know or were not wiling to give any information on the car, (they said there was a description online but I think it was printed black on black and was illegible) if you are willing to share I am wondering what you got it for (if not I understand) and if you can share any info about yourself and the car I'm sure that members here will add it to the knowledgebase that some of us have.
P.S. what are your plans for the car?

Thank you, I bought the car without even seeing it in person for 28k and had it shipped here to Oceanside. The 94-98 body style is my favorite and I have been looking for a nice 95 R for a while. This car is the 6th SN-95 that I have owned and I still have a 96 Cobra and a 96 GT with 248A package. The 248A package reminds me of the 95 R, just doesn't have the 351 haha. I just got out of the Marines and opened a performance shop (John Smith Racing) specializing in late model Mustangs. I plan to keep the car and pass it on to my kids one day. I do know the name of the previous owner and was told he had two 95 R's one was raced out and this one. This car was also a pace car for a Trans Am race in Portland, judging by the picture that came with the car it was sometime in the late 90's early 2000's. To my knowledge everything is still stock on the car minus the h-pipe and flowmaster dumps. The car sounds amazing but it will not pass CA smog without cats. It also looks like the radiator had been out of the car for some reason and the plastic piece that hangs down under the front of the car has been cut off.

thanks for the reply/information. looks like you have a good lead on the history and I believe it was supposed to be a one owner car so you should be pretty well set, if you get a chance post up some pics I'm sure I'm not the only one that would love to see it as well as the pic of it doing pace duties
again welcome.

Let me see if I can figure out how to post pictures on a forum again, its been a while.

If this works its a picture that came with the car during the Trans Am race.

Congrats! Looks like a great car.

Love the Trans Am pic, that era of Trans-Am was fantastic to watch.
