No....the only newer 5.0 I'd even consider is a 2013-2014 GT. The new 2015+ cars look like poo.

Theres a low mileage stage 3, 2013-2014 Roush for sale in the upper 20's which is very tempting but at the same time I could never drop the Cobra. I just wish I had more room.

I drove a new 2017 GT this summer, because a), I actually love how they look, and b) I had sold my last Mustang two years ago. Maybe I didn't drive the 2017 long enough, but I found it to be boring compared to the rattly rawness of my '92 LX 5.0, so I bought a Terminator because it too has that rattly rawness that I like.

And horsepower. Don't forget the horsepower.

So, no, I'll be in this one for a while, and if I sell it, it will be for another rattly raw Mustang.

The numbers they are putting down are nice. But the fact that our cars are not dropping value like the new gt's will keep me in the cobra.

I stumbled across mine purely on curiosity. After looking for something else and seeing over and over the 03/04 cobra as a trade accepted for many drag cars.
I decided to jump on one. Now it's winter time here my car is on stands with wheels off.
And I still find myself buying parts and admireing it.

I've tossed around the idea more than a couple times.. But I've regretted selling both of my other terminators..

If I sell this one.....i'll regret it for the rest of my life. I agree with the post above.. I just need more room to get something else and keep the cobra lol

One of the things I find funny with the new cars is they have this "sound" tube to pump engine noise into the cockpit of the car. Really, they have to pump the sound in? If you cannot make your car loud enough the old fashioned way they can keep it LOL.

No, I'd rather upgrade my supercharger, run E85 and get a tune on my Cobra before trading it in or selling it outright. A 700HP Cobra would be just fine with me :D...........

I "may" consider selling my vert one day, but my coupe will remain with me until I die or I'm not able to physically drive it anymore.

I made that exact jump, sold my 04 cobra for a 2015 GT PP that I special ordered through Ford.

Had it all of 6 months, and in that time I did Intake , Wheels , Suspension, Tint, Spoiler, Exhaust, Tune. It just wasn't 'raw' enough for me, I felt disconnected from the car. I think it was from the assists / electronics in the car that inhibited the 'oh shit' feeling you can get from a Cobra, etc.

I'm sure the car would have walked my 04 cobra, but the cobra just felt faster, if that makes sense.

Took mine out again. Loving the Texas driving season again. Left at 730 to go get some bbq sauce up the street and was gone an hour and a half!

I actually like the look of the 550 but damn my car looks good at night under some fluorescent lighting at the gas station.

My girls car makes 50 more whp than my cobra did, but the cobra still scared her when I would rip on it. :D She swore my car made 750 whp. hahaha

Heard you say this before and I always think about that when I consider swapping.

Do it man. The guy that had my car before me just did the Whipple/RXT/Magnum right before I bought it. Dynoed 590rwhp. If I ever pulley up and switch back to 91octane its gonna feel like a turd. I still can't believe the difference.

many times it's not the power.....it's the look, the feel, the rawness......that just gives your body that tingly feeling

The numbers are enticing, BUT our engines are built specifically to be forced induction at a compression ratio of 8.5:1 Those coyote motors are 11:1 so in my opinion your taking a risk super charging especially with how expensive everything is these days, who wants to blow a motor. But I've always been a build it strong and safe kinda guy. But to each his own.

I sometimes miss the modern amenities my Terminator lacks.......until I drive it.
I had never seriously considered a 'Vette till I sold my beautiful, lowered, fast, rigid, clunky, rattly, loud, convertible Foxbody two years ago and wanted another weekend car. A surgeon I know had a pristine C6 with real low miles, and the price was right. Drove great, looked great, but once I started learning all the electronic gizmos that could lock me out of the car, lock up the steering, cost a crap load to fix, etc, etc, ad nauseum, I bought a Cobra. It was like having my Fox back, but BETTER.
I like mechanical stuff. Electronics? Not so much.

There are better Mustangs built almost every year, but if you keep trading-up, you'll never have a cool old car. The Terminator is an iconic, "getting-old" cool car.
Well said, Goose. Well said!

There are those who will prefer the refinements of the newer Mustangs, but there are also those who believe "rawness" and "Mustang" should be synonymous. ;)

There Terminator crowd has really low turnover. That says a lot.

Heck no. Why would I give up the amazing cargo space the terminator offers.

Any who no. While I like 5.0’s and respect them. I’ve wanted a terminator since they came out. I’d have to ad one not sell lol.
