For some reason I no longer have the "start a conversation" tab when I click on a members name. Used to be there, now it is not? Restarted the PC even and no joy, any thoughts?

Nothing odd in your settings. I reset you, try again.
If you are not logged in, you can still pull up a member's profile, but you won't see the "start conversation" tab.
You need to participate more on the forum to gain access to that system.

It's a spammer prevention system. We've had it for years, but finally tweeked the new forum software to reimplement it.
Yeah, sucks that a handful of jackass' screw it up for everyone else! Having just sold my Raptor I am in the market for a Lightning, but it makes it a little more challenging when I can't pm a seller. Thanks though for the explanation!
What is the post count now for Private Messaging? I was able to PM a mod a few months back for a name change, but since then haven't been able to send a PM. Working on getting my post count up, normally I just lurk.
Looks to me like it is no so much about the count, but rather keeping active, involved. Not so good for us lurkers...
