Looked into the F150 engine but the heads and pistons show different part numbers. Thought maybe the engines would be the same except for the cams but no luck

Just going by what you posted "The pistons are different, but the heads are the same # - BR3Z-6049-E."

I was talking about 2015 heads being different between the Mustang and F150 your link is for 2013

I think this would be a good thread to answer question on what is needed to do this. I was told the oil filter angle is different. I think a lot of people are going to be looking into this since the Aluminators are based on the '15.

Can you buy a '15 motor and change the cams to work? Can you bolt all of your current parts onto a '15 shortblock?

I know some have played with this so any info will help so others will know
Hey did u ever find out what u half to do to use a 15 short block on 14 heads ?

So to get this straight you can use the '15-17 aluminator short block on a '11-14 motor and only have to plug a hole for oil?

Guys I have a question I hope you might be able to help.

I've installed a new engine in my 2011 coyote after the original one spun a bearing. It was meant to be a 11-14 5.0 but upon inspecting the cams. It appears I have a 15 as all timing components and cams are 2015. I keep getting issues with power loss and running not quite right. Cams don't seem to follow desired positions etc. Took it to the dyno and it's running well down on power, torque isn't too bad but 306rwhp isn't what I was expecting! (It was a strict UK dyno and also factored 2.5% weather deduction but still!)

Is it likely my issues are being caused by running these 15 timing components on my 2011 PCM?

My only worry is, if i switch my cams, phasers, chains, tensioners back to 11-14, will it still work alright with the 2015 heads and valves which I no doubt have in there?

I don't wanna spend a fortune getting the new components only to find out they won't work with my valves or heads!

Thanks (I'm in the UK btw so always a pain trying to get parts)
