Great touch with the plate frame, something so simple can make a huge difference.
The vast majority of plate frames are tacky, clash with the car, and take away from the car as a whole, but leaving the plate sitting on the ass end by itself, leaves something to be desired.
Very nice work Lambeau, sort of fly by the seat of your pants regarding getting the color to match or what?
Huge difference! One of those simple things that can get overlooked, but when you see the "after" photos you realize how smart it was to transform a rusted part that actually does stand out. Nice idea, and nice work!8) I got some high-temp primer (listed above):

9) Then the high-temp paint - low gloss black - like "low gloss" made a difference (LOL).
I must have put on about 3 or 4 coats of primer and paint:

Metal Rescue is pretty cool stuff. It worked great.
Love It! Did the same...less work of course. So A+ for improvising!Bullitt quarters are different than standard, so I found a seller on etsy that sold a rectangular, matte black colored, distressed American flag sheet. I cut a template, leveled some lines on the sheet so the flag stripes would be level with ground, and cut. I like the subtleness.
