What will this do to 17 and 18 GT350 demand? Will 17s become easier to get as people might want the new dash in the 18?

Not sure. I would think those who are legitimately in a position to buy a GT350 are more interested in the performance, and won't downgrade for a dash and interior refresh. The mustang GT will not compete with the GT350 performance wise, yet.

Once you see it in the flesh in multiple different colors this car really comes together. The previous front end was weak and the fog light and park turn bezel combination always never looked right to me. Adding the fog light with the park turn in a smaller single light casing and then adding the aggressiveness of the air curtain line make this front look so much more refined. When you see the added crown on the hood and how it works with the rest of the front end I am sure you guys will like it. The rear end on the '15 is awesome and is further improved by adding simple flicks to the tail lights and the width of the car is helped by the quad tips mufflers on all the GT's.

I have gotten used to seeing this new design and it works out well not to mention all the mechanical upgrades making this car even better. I could not trade in my modded '13 GT for a '15 but now I might be tempted.

I know the designer that did these sketches and followed through to Job1 and luckily I got to work on a couple parts of this car.

I wonder what the hp rating is going to be, now that Ford has added Direct Injection to go along with port. 450 seems like a reasonable hp number.

Also the bump to 12:1 compression will help out. It should at least match the camaro. Possibly a small step up over the Camaro since HP sells cars.

I would really like to compare a 2017 stock dyno to a 2018 stock dyno. I'm betting the 2018 will have a much more usable torque curve lower in the RPM range. Should really make putting around town a lot more fun without revving out to 7k rpm.

not at my post...
I'd say closer to 470.. A point of compression on an NA motor is worth 3-4% give or take, lets say 15 HP, maybe a couple more/less. The DI is probably another 10-15. Ford has also raised the red line which would leave me to believe there have probably been some intact tract changes and possible camshaft changes etc.

Look at that.. for 2018 and we FINALLY get a digital speedometer!

yippie! & to put a cherry on top, with that rate of progress revealed, i suppose i can expect to see head-up display in 2028.

overall, don't love or hate it but am geezerly enough to know i'll rate it higher for appearance during an in-person experience...which at this point i'm not seeing sufficient reason to pursue. performance is the most important, but if it doesn't give me a big f*cking grin just from seeing her, i'll apply my ducats elsewhere. right now i'm just: hmmmmm

This new redesign is a complete shit-show, GT350 owners have nothing to fear. If anything, their cars just appreciated in value.

Where is the muscle? Ford changed from "retro" to "metro".

Anyone that can look at this car and honestly say "it looks good", definitely suffers from wristitis limpidus.

it definitely reminds me of a Camaro with the long lower grill and the "vents" on the side of the bumper. Or maybe a Camry?

So a few "easter eggs" I'm betting on for the next GT500 (not sure if this has been posted anywhere else):
7th gear at 55mph = 755hp
289 miles = 4.8 V8
11:17:11 = 11/11/17 is when we'll know more about it
And for fun, I like the mileage :)

Edit: I see HISSMAN said pretty much the same thing.

Good catch.

Yes, but wasn't the 260 V8 what was first offered when the Mustang first came out? As you may know, there's been a rumor that Ford might be bringing a 4.8 V8 out and IMO, that number in the cluster could mean something. And then again, it could be just as you said.

Are we confirmed the coyote will still be displaying 5.0 liters and not 4.8. the 289 is concerning.

Another great video here. Too bad it isn't high definition, but still good.
This car sounds great. You hear them start it and rev it towards the end of the video.

That video helps the car look more presentable. I like it a lot more after seeing this. Hopefully, in person, it will look even better. I'm still bummed over how very little sets the GT350 Tech cars apart from the GT.

Oh well. What are ya gonna do?

Still no mention of the GT500?

Nope. Shelby American unveiled their new Super Snake, but no news of a GT500 from Ford yet.

Honestly, with 2-3 years until the S650 chassis hits the showroom, its looking highly unlikely we will get a GT500.

If that is the case... hopefully SA has something planned for once the GT350 is out of production. I would love to send my car to SA. Not that companies like Lethal aren't putting out amazing products, but it seems fitting for a car that already flies the Shelby monogram to at least have an option to go to Shelby American.
