Walmart/Fedex issue

I ordered a gun cabinet from Walmart on 11/22, and since then the Fedex tracking has only said "label created". I called Walmart and they said it's not on them, but on Fedex because they shipped it already. I call Fedex and they said it's not on them because only a label was created and not actually shipped.

Walmart offered to refund my money, but said if the cabinet ever came I would have to return it. Anyone ever run into an issue like this before?

sounds more like a Walmart issue to me honestly, I'd have them refund you since they're willing to

Anytime a "label" is created, that means that the shipper entered the information into the system and generated a physical label.

Until it is scanned by FedEx, it will stay in that status. Typically pickups need to be scheduled manually unless they have a daily pickup by xyz carrier.

I'd imagine Walmart has a daily pick-up with the amount they do, so, in this case, it could be FedEx or in fact the safe wasn't ready to be shipped.

I'd take the refund if you can't wait. Otherwise, give it another day or two. This happens very commonly this time of the year.

Walmart (at least where I live) has started a new and really annoying shipping method.
They start by giving the package to FedEx or UPS. They get it 99% of the way to my house. Then the package gets handed off to the Post Office for the final few miles to my house. So it takes two days to go from, say, Mississippi to Carson, then the mailman takes five more days to crush it and get it to my house. Unless it's heavy. Then they take three more weeks because none of the lazy bastards feel like lifting it.

Cancel the order, get your money back, walk into a liberty safe store in your area and buy a safe off the floor. They will deliver and install it if you want.

Their prices will start at around $500.00.

You will also find safes at dick's, bass pro, etc.

Im having the same issue with a vendor on Amazon. Also I noticed this horrible habit of handing items off to the USPS for final delivery.

So have them refund you

It'll show up anyway

Call them and say you have it, just charge your card again. Done.

What I do to piss off these handlers (like I am doing today) is when using those flat rate boxes, I find the maximum weight and after allowing space for the specified items, I tend to put some heavier things in there like a heavy brick wrapped in foil or anything else that will give it the allowed weight.

Thanks for the all the help guys, just looked on Walmart's website and noticed the cabinet is now out of stock. I wonder if this plays into it, however it wasn't out of stock when I ordered it.

Don't get me started with Amazon shipping. Three times this month they screwed up. 2-day shipping became 5-7 day shipping. I've tried to complain but all I can get is outsourced (India or another country) supervisors, who are pretty much useless. I had an item that was supposed to have been delivered Thursday to the office. As of Friday morning my Amazon account said it shipped and would be delivered by 8PM Thursday. Yesterday, that changed to "it's on the vehicle and out for delivery". Called FedEx and they told me it wouldn't be delivered until Monday. Unbelievable!!!!!! Amazon did, though, give me a $150. credit on a $500. item.

I have the worst USPS delivery person. She wont get out of her vehicle for anything. A package is shipped USPS and she marks it undeliverable every time. I also have a package from Amazon that was supposed to be deliverd Nov 25 got updated to the 1st. Still hasnt even shipped yet. They offer a refund but i got a great price. If i take the refund now ill have to pay $100 more for the product. Getting kinda frusterated with the shipping issues this year. Never dealt with this much buffoonery before.
