Ive been leaning more towards an e85 capable fuel system lately to help with heatsoak in the summer months but I still cannot make a decision between that or a KC. I know what the KC is capable of and all that, but not what e85 is. Ive only had experience with it in my old jb4 335i.

Now for those running e85, how do you like it? Can you tell a difference as far as the car pulling less timing and overall feeling less sluggish when heatsoaked from stop and go traffic or high humidity weather?

If I can put together a fuel system for my GT that will support about 420-430whp (and still have room to grow in the future) that isnt too expensive, I will go with e85.

Im thinking 80lb injectors (maybe 60's will suffice for now), Cobra tank with upgraded pumps (still not sure what pumps I will need). Maybe a lethal budget return system?

Any help would be appreciated.

I would go E85 - with it you can be more aggressive with the tuning and make more power than pump gas, its cheaper than pump gas, and doesnt get into your A/C system.

Go cobra pump with twin walbro 267 pumps, and a lethal return system. I'd put in the 80s or snag up some ID1000s and never have to change injectors again.

I was just checking out their fuel systems. The budget return with twin 465's will run $1159 plus the cost of injectors and a Cobra tank. Im not sure if the GT tank will be safe without the baffles.

Probably a little over $2k by time I get a retune and all that. Not bad at all IMO!

IMO you'll be just fine with the GT tank just never run it below 1/2-1/4 tank or when your low on fuel just keep your foot out if it. Like Zemedici said if you can afford the extra cost of the ID1000's go with those. you'll own the best injectors on the market! There very tunable. Most tuners already have profiles for them. I would use Aeromotive 340LPH E-85 compatible pumps personally though with Black306 wiring and Modified FPDM. Ive made 600rwhp with a non return E-85 system. Just food for thought. PM me if you need some help saving some money on things not needed.

The only thing i hate about my KC drag kit(or KC in general) is how it taxes the in cab cooling. If you are up north, it probably wont be that big of a deal. It does work though to cool charge temps. As for if it feels like im driving in cool weather all the time, i dont know since i dont drive my truck enough to notice.

I just checked out Black306 and WestCoastMustangs to see what they both offer.

Ill have to do some more research on return vs returnless. I like return because I feel like it is a more solid choice and will give me the best driveability.
