Starting to have some quality concerns . . .

So, the car was delivered with a defective TPS in the right rear wheel and I have already had my rear bumper repainted because the paint was flaking off the panel seam edges. Now the fasteners securing the driver's floor mat have torn loose from the carpet from nothing more than the stress created by climbing in and out of the vehicle. Love the car, but am really starting to question Ford's quality standards.

Is your rear bumper also starting to sag? I've got quite a gap now next to my tail lights. Ford didn't add any more support for the additional weight added by the rear valance and built it exhaust tips. I agree that build quality is lacking.

I have a 17 and the driverside rear bumper is falling away, gap is opening. i have found dirt in the paint and a few bubbles already. i would have thought quality control would be immense on a flag ship car. I am disappointed with the cosmetic issues so far.

I had the dealer realign mine. It looked better for a day and then sagged to it's previous position. The next step suggested by Ford is a new bumper which is crazy. It would just do the same thing over time. The current supports just can't handle the weight.

I am an employee @the Ford plant. They are saying the aero shield and rear diffuser is whats pulling the bumper down. They replace the bumpers and address all the issues, paint work before they leave the plant.
Even from the designer of the mustang which he owns a '15 350R address his concerns about trim gaps to me.
Just an FYI

Gotti, what was done to the engines in these cars a few months ago? Rumor has it there was an "oil control" issue such that cars were retrofitted with certain new valvetrain parts with the engines already installed in the cars. Any truth to this?

Yup that's what's pulling it down. It would just it again overtime with a new bumper right? I would think they'd need to find a way to provide additional support to hold it up tight.

I have found the same paint issues on my 16' TP GT350. Several fish eye's / dirt on various parts of the car, very disappointing. I have a noticeably larger gap on the passenger side where the front bumper meets the hood compared to the drivers side. I had similar quality issues on my 2003 Cobra and thought Ford would have figured this shit out 13 years on...

Damn it, you guys made me look, my bumper has opened a slight gap between it and the quarter panel. Guess I'll take it in and get it documented in case it gets worse, and find out if they have a cure. No sense having them adjust it if it is just going to keep sagging.

Not yet, it literally has just been replaced.

My rear bumper gap is noticeable. It's a Mustang, the badge and everything else that goes along with it being a gt350 doesn't mean shit.

Pay to play though. If Ford started with a different manufacturing process from the ground up this car doesn't exist.

This goes for almost performance variant of a lesser car. $130k zr1s sharing a plastic cobalt steering column, zl1s just being shit all around, m4s being plauged with 3 series nuisances, etc, etc

Threads like this are really making me second guess myself. Mine will be here next month, I'm hoping that I won't have any issues.

Colleton, this is the best all-around performing Mustang to date. You are gonna love it.

Are the issues that noticeable? Would you guys have bought the car knowing what you know now?

According to my church school teacher I was going to be a heathen for life. Ha! Proved that one wrong anyway.
