Update:

So took the car out again, first time since rolling fender even more. I also checked tire pressure, it was at 40 psi. I never have it that high unless it's put away for the winter. I lowered it down to 32 psi.

I didn't drive as long, but did some short rpm pulls in 2nd and 3rd gear. Zero rubbing this time, keeping my fingers crossed!

Hope that fixes it for ya.

I had rubbing also I found it by removing the spring and shock and moving the tire up as it would travel naturally as it was being compressed by driving it , it was the area were the bumper met the fender were the screw is.

This seems to be what happens with others, so what's the fix? The fender can't be rolled there.

I used a grinder /dremel to remove as much material as possible most of it was plastic then smoothened it out and then bent the rest out of the way as best I could i seems like tire diameter is the thing .

So below is a picture of what happened yesterday. I'm a bit puzzled about all this, as it's only the passenger side that rubs and it's rolled more than the drivers side. Maybe because the brunt of the torque hits to that side? Either way I'll be rolling the fenders even further starting today. I'm not sure what my other options are? Maybe a air bag inside that spring?

It's quite frustrating and getting to the point where I have considered selling my TF mach 5's. BTW my camber is set at -1.3*.

Whoa! That's crazy amount of rubbing. I'm running identical width tire and rims and have zero rubbing. Not exactly sure what the issue is here, but it's more than just "fender needs more roll"....I'm sure your new hp/tq level is exasperating the issue as the car is really twisting some tq now.

Have you looked into those billetflow IRS brackets? Kevin put those on this car and my belief is they work wonders! Not sure if it would help this situation or not, maybe worth looking into

Yeah it sucks because I like my wheels. I've never seen those brackets before, what's the whole purpose of them? Is it just drilling holes and putting plate on?

well..the way I've read up on it, the factory irs mount is a cantilever design with 2 mounting points....this adds 3 more. It's called the "mathis" mod because it was invented by a guy with the same name who later ended up as an exec for steeda (steeda actually offered these as well...but the vast opionion was the billetflow was superior workmanship and quality). Just another way to solidify the inherently weak factory irs setup and keep the mounts from moving excessively. For $55 not too bad as far as mods go...

I'll have to look into it a bit more and see if I can find additional information. I wonder if they are still available.

Edit: So it looks like a good inexpensive mod, but will require welding.

My right side is flush with the fender, the left side is tucked in about a quarter inch. The rims are AFS 18" Cobra reps with 315X35 Toyo TQ's. I can get one finger between the top of the tire and the fender in the rear. Up front, a little more that one finger clearance. I also have 3/16" hubcentric wheel spacers in the rear.

Skitzerman thanks for sharing, sounds like mine is rolled similar to yours. More on passenger side.

I wonder if your a tad lower than mine? I don't have any spacers either. Do you get any rubbing?

No, I don't have any rubbing and I've hit pot holes, dips in the road and driveway inclines. The 10.5" rear wheel probably helps, along with the TQ's, which don't have a wide profile. I also have to give most of the credit to the air bags, they keep those tires planted.

Man I hope you can get this figured out. You've got on sweet Cobra!

I've been looking at TF Mach-5 or Chicane 18x10.5 with R888s. I do not want to roll my fenders, so I'm thinking about going with AFS reps instead.
