I think you will solve your problem with the stiffer shocks. I had some stock shocks w eibach springs in the rear and I was rubbing on the left rear slightly when the tire would get pushed up. I rolled the fenders, and it helped some, but the tire was cut into already and I needed new ones anyway. I had plans to change the springs to h&r race to raise the car, and I went ahead and changed to bilstein hd's all around w mm iso's. Car doesn't sit so low now, has a nice raked look, and I went out of town these last two weeks and took the Cobra. Drove about 750 miles on the new set up. Zero issues with rubbing now. Car also rides a lot better with the new bilstein and h&r springs.

I hope so, my rubbing only happened when doing a hard pull. Seems hit or miss. New shocks are in, but roads are still dirty and salty.

That sucks. I've had mine out twice now already. We had two monster rain days and that was good enough for me, although I'm staying to only main roads and the highway for now. Shortest storage so far - 9 weeks, Christmas Eve to the first weekend in March :-D

Yeah two good rain storms would work for me too. Mine has been stored since beginning of November. I did start it last week and changed oil. Trying out Amsoil ss 10w30.

Roll the fender flat. Put in a stiffer spring/shock combo. The car is always going to squat that direction, so you are going to have to stiffen up the suspension to eliminate the issue.

I am a bit surprised you are having this much issue, I run a pretty aggressive offset wheel in the rear with the same Toyos and never have issues. I'm even using the same springs as you as well. Of course the shorter SRA could be the reason for that.

I just put in a stiffer shock, but haven't been able to test it yet. If it still rubs I'll roll fender more.

Did these shocks solve your rubbing issues? I have a slight rubbing issue on the passenger side with my 10.5 reps / R888"s on cut springs with rolled fenders. I am contemplating moving up to 18x10.5 and H&R race springs but I dont want to make the rubbing worse.

Not sure yet, I'm in the process of getting some retuning done. I should find out in a couple weeks.

Update:

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I may still have some rubbing on passenger side. Since I have some permanent marks it's hard to tell for sure. I think when it happens it's from a hard 2ND gear hit. I'm going to buy a fender roller and roll it some more. I think maybe my rear end isn't fully centered. Zero rubbing on drivers side and it's not rolled as much.

I've got an Eastwood fender roller and like it a lot . Seen from you previous post you already rolled em. Don't know if all rollers are equal but the Eastwood works. My 2 cents! Good luck bud!

Brady, Eastwood has the fender rolling tool on sale right now for $89.99

Yeah, not sure what brand I was using, didn't have any logo or brand name. I have it rolled a decent amount, but only went to about 1 o'clock if looking at wheel.

Hey bro have u checked your camber by any chance I had this issue also. I believe I'm running close 1 degree of negative camber and that got rid of most of my issues. I'm switching over to H&R race springs next. What do you think of the B8s compared to the B6s?

Last I checked I'm at my limits for camber, I'll have to look at my spec sheet. So far I like the shocks, a touch stiffer.

Edit: Right rear camber is -1.3°.

Judging by these images:

You need to roll the fenders more and go further "around the clock". Use a heat gun to warm up the paint before rolling and cover the edge in masking tape to keep the roller off of the actual paint finish.

Thanks for advice, I have a heat gun and a temp gun. Most say the rubbing happens further back by the bumper, but I thought that's rolled quite a bit.

So below is a picture of what happened yesterday. I'm a bit puzzled about all this, as it's only the passenger side that rubs and it's rolled more than the drivers side. Maybe because the brunt of the torque hits to that side? Either way I'll be rolling the fenders even further starting today. I'm not sure what my other options are? Maybe a air bag inside that spring?

It's quite frustrating and getting to the point where I have considered selling my TF mach 5's. BTW my camber is set at -1.3*.

In what situation did that happen? I'd think the IRS has to be offset more to that side.
Also is that pic ride height or is the car lifted?

That's ride height, might be angle of picture. It's not jacked up.

I did a short 3rd gear pull and some 1/2 throttle 2nd gear. Starting to wonder if it's rubbing under normal driving on bumpy roads. Might have to put gopro back there.
