Rear faux gas cap delete options

I've looked high and low for an option to get rid of the faux gas cap on the back of my black 2013 car. Is the CDC ribbed plastic looking piece really my only option? I hate the big "RTR" I have seen pop up occasionally.

What else is out there short of just plasti dipping the damn chrome logo?

Thanks

I think RTR makes a replacement decklid panel that gets rid of that faux gas cap. The RTR is a sticker and it can be removed if you don't want it.

This. RTR is the only one I know of that makes a delete for the 11-14 cars. For the 15s Ford Racing makes a delete. But the 11-14s the gas cap is a part of that whole appliqué so be careful if you decide to remove/dremel it out

There is a CF one, but it's more of an overlay as it sticks out past tails and not flush like stock. I have the new RTR version and I think it's the e best option.

I bought a CDC from American Muscle for my black 2013 GT. I used it about a year but decided to install a RTR brand. I absolutely hated the chrome faux gas cap.

The CDC is very simple and straight forward, no drilling, sawing or removal of the hump under the stock panel. Just remove your stock rear panel and install the CDC with the double sided tape. It fit great and was very similar in design as the license plate surround.
I changed because I was wanting a gloss black panel but having to cut out the hump was a little nerve racking and tedious. I forgot how easily dust gathers on the glossy black panel!

American Muscle is out of stock of the CDC panel. I will sell mine (it's perfect) for $50, you'll have to buy and install some double sided tape, no biggie though.

Just let me know if you're interested.
Thanks,
Dan

Another option is to have a body shop cut the bump off and have them weld patches in all the holes, then repaint. Might be pricey. I just put an rtr on mine and love it.

RTR is the best option. I plasti dipped mine though because I didn't want to spend the $200 for the RTR. Looks good enough to hold me over for now

This is my RTR decklid without the "RTR" . the RTR is easy to remove from the decklid.

IGO 202: I may take you up on that, still trying to figure out what I want.

Thanks for the pictures of the RTR one guys. That's the way I'm leaning.

Me too. My mod budget is tight and as much as I love the RTR panel I just don't have the funds. Bought a $7 can of duplicolor plasti dip ripoff stuff and was amazed at how much I like it. Definitely the way to go until you get an RTR.

Did any of you that have installed the RTR panel do anything to cover the huge hole in the decklid from removing the "hump"?? I'm just wondering if there's any concern with water getting in there???

I took off the chrome ring which was a little tedious. Then I took off the GT from the ring and put it back on the car with black RTV. I wanted to try this before cutting the sheet metal and putting on a deck lid. I like the GT emblem but have always hated the flava flave bling ring.
