He suggested the rev auto or frpp kit and highly disliked the JLT kit. I wanted the rev auto but couldn't see myself spending a extra $200 for it.

Did he specify why? I got the jlt intake and will be adding everything down the line. Looked like a clean intake to me. Can't picture why he wouldn't like it.

JLT works great. I have been running mine since May of 14. It has the larger 110mm maf versus the 102mm on the frpp. No issues or complaints here. fyi.

When I spoke with JPC Racing they Recommended going with the JLT as well over the Ford Racing intake.

^^^yup and several others have been even faster..in the 10.7x range

I know guys have been faster now. Those runs were with a stock header, stock long block car, no cams and almost exactly at sea level, so true 11.0. It was also a premium car with full interior and minimal weight reduction.

I never got a good comparison for different throttle bodies for the CJ. We tried a twin 65 if i remember right, but gains were so small we couldn't tell if it was just the dyno or actual gains. Those were on a Dynojet at a friends shop, before i had my Dynocom in house which is insanely repeatable for numbers on runs. The only CAI at the time, was the CAI i was custom building, then shortly after Rev's came out, JLT, then FRPP.

This is just stock vs ported stock vs boss.
I wish someone would have done these tests with the appropriate tune adjustments though. The old concept of changing mods without adjusting the tune just doesn't give a fair comparison on the coyote, since everything is just so damn tune sensitive.

This was to show the gains from doing direct swaps, no tune changes to show guys what will happen. It's already known gains will be found with tune adjustment, but i like to show guys the other side if you don't

Sorry for bumping an old thread but i'm new to the forums. About to do my own CJ porting but if anybody can PM me with pointers on sanding it down for a smooth look I'd be thankful.
