Fore is offering an exchange program if you needed to change out the hat you have with a newer one with different pumps or and updated one. For some this may be easier or a better solution than trying to sell what you have depending on what the market is doing. It is only for a limited time.

Edit: found out they are doing this for the black Friday/cyber Monday deal so those who have been trying to change can do so and receive a $350 credit.

What are they gonna do with the older ones being sent back? I'd be an interested buyer...

Not sure, you would have to call Justin and find out.

Where was this deal two months ago

It is something they just came up with over the weekend. I asked last week about black friday specials and at first it was going to be free shipping, but they decided to change it and offer the trade in program.

Did Fore ever produce an actual returnless hat or were they all machined for return and one of the holes was plugged?

Not sure I understand. They have a returnless hat, but yeah, it has the return port plugged. Why would that be an issue? Because of the design of the hats, the top part is the same for all of them. Just makes it easier I suppose to just make a batch run of the part and use an oring plug for the port on returnless setups.

Something I am missing?

Just wondering back in the mid 2000's when guys were adding twin Focus/GT pumps to to their cars if Fore had a specific part # for the oem returnless BUT you just answered my question.. thanks..

Gotcha, yeah, they have always had a hat for returnless style. Basically the basket/spine changes based on the pumps selected because their diameters are different. Their correct design may actually be universal for all the pumps, so they may only have 1 hat. I haven't bothered asking. I don't recall the last time I even sold a returnless setup, but that basket is more of a clamp style now like the MGW shifter handles and so the only difference is probably the pump connectors.

I still have one of their original triple pump returnless hats. There is no return hole that is plugged, just the 3 6an feeds. You had to run a triple y block.

Mine will be for sale very soon. I noticed you said you would be an interested buyer

Yeah I'm running twin pumps, can I just leave one of the mounts empty? Would I need a new Y fitting with 2 outputs instead of 3?
Edit:eek:ne more question, does the oem 03/04 Cobra fuel level sender mount right up to this hat?

You could leave one empty and put a 6 an plug on the third feed. Or, I can sell the hat with 1 pump installed. Also, I can include the 3 6an lines that go to the triple y block and you can run your feed line from there. I can sell a black triple driver module setup as well.

Yes, the 03 level sender bolts right up.

shoot me a pm if you would like to talk more

Correct, because that is the original for 3 pump returnees, there was no room for a return port if you were running 3 pumps. Newer manifold designs allow for 3 pumps in return.

AS stated, you could convert it to a return. They actually offered a conversion kit if you wanted to use it as a return. Basically a -6an flare to npt fitting with a short section of aluminum pipe with a flared end and slip nut.

Interesting stuff! I'm still running a stock 04 hat with twin aviators and the pprv still attached, talk about a flow inhibitor... I wanna go to twin AEM 320's and a better hat but stay returnless. Lstruck I already have one of Dereks modded fpdm's and a wire upgrade.

Ok that sould be just fine then. Basically all you would want is the hat? The aem pumps wll not fit in the old design hats and in a stock tank. they are too long. Well, the e85 version anyway. I believe the non e85 pump is the same dimensions as the walbro 255's

That's pretty sweet of them. I need to get my old one out. I'm sure I'll be able to sell it on here to a member.
