I didn't get the impression BMR has a strong preference for one or the other - this is just the first version they are making with plans to eventually carry both is demand remains.

There are pros and cons for both designs that existed before BMR designed this one and will continue to exist after is my guess.

Kelly, is the chassis mounted version going to clear the differential cooling ports on a track pack car? I just had to send back the BMR subframe connectors because they wouldn't fit a track pack car. I'd hate to have to do the same with the watts link. Judging from the pics you posted, there's very little clearance between the regular differential cover and the watts link.

Going by the rust on that axle, that is not a track pack car. If that's what you were trying to say by posting that picture.

No, but it does have the same diff cover with the drain/cooling ports, and it looks like the ports are blocked.

How does the subframe connectors not fit a track pack car? Could you explain?

Also, Kelly, could you elaborate on the differences between the two different versions of the watts link?

The subframe connectors on the track pack car pushed the differential cooling lines farther up towards the floorboard of the car, if you were to install them that way. The only other way that we found you could install them was to pull them down, which created a situation where they rubbed and pinched at a certain point, plus it kept them from being protected from road debris, speed bumps and such. My friend, an excellent mechanic, recommended not doing the install for those two reasons and when I got under there and looked, it made perfect sense to me. I hated to not install them because nearly my entire suspension is BMR. Hope that explanation makes sense.
