So the wife and I are picking up a 2011 GT automatic. No it doesn't have the Brembo brake package. It already has full length headers, hi flow cats, mufflers, tail pipes (Basicly a complete exhaust system). It also has 3.73's and sct tuner. I do know this car has gone 11.8 and 11.9 in the quarter with some crappy launches. So what would you do next if this was your ride? I would like to keep it mostly streetable kinda like a daily driver. P.S. I think the windows are now tinted...

First thing I'd install is a Roush/VMP TVS blower... Oh wait, that was my first mod! No converter, no suspension, just first & only mod!

if it was me id do wheels and tires and some suspension next. as others have said those high gears could be hurting in the 1/4. 3.31 seems to be the gear of choice if not staying with stock. Converters make a big difference at the track. mods depends on what your goals are and your budget.

Ok guys I come from the FoxBody world. I'm in the middle of another swap for it. I went from a 398w, T56 6 speed, 4.11 8.8 carb setup. Now I'm doing a 402w, 76mm turbo (biggest we are allowed), powerglide, 9'' rearend, minitub, BS3. So I know to switch gears why are these coyote cars better with the 3.31's? This is an automatic car also.

I think I would do suspension, wheels/tires, and see where I stood. Then decide if you want to change the gearing.

The gear is already in there, I wouldn't bother taking it out now... Stick guys have to shift into 5th with a 3.73, your an auto so I'd leave it. It's been debated that more gear doesn't really help with our cars. I run a 3.55 at 140mph trap speed. I don't need the extra gearing, but like you I already have it.

Sounds like you outta add the Brembo's so you can stop as well as you can go. You can do a Brembo conversion cheap. I just posted a thread about it on the Brake section.

Since it has 80,000 miles on it. I was thinking about spark plugs. Is there something everyone uses?

factory spark plugs are fine unless you're boosted. the 3.15 or 3.31 gears are ideal for autos as the transmission gearing is really short in the 1 and 2 gears.
