Awesome to hear. I was thinking of just plugging the bleeder since my car is really low and I don't see much point for it for this application. I'm glad to see you guys are still using it trouble free

Are there any differences between cooling efficiency between the tube style and bar and plate?

I am guessing the bar and plate tubes have a thicker wall and perhaps have less contact area for a given cross section compared to a flattened tube.

Yes many differences. Google "differences between bar and plate vs tube fin" and you'll find a ton of intercooler links and various turbo sites mainly. Lots of results will return that show you pros and cons of each.

Quite a bit of info but all geared toward air to air intercoolers. Not sure if water to air exchangers change the rules.

Looks mean! I like the way these look compared to any other heat exchangers that they make for our cars.

With my last Cobra, I was going to go this route.

Then, I got a wild idea...to just find a used GT500 AFCO H/E.

I mocked it up, and made it work. It performed very well. ;)

Rise from the dead!
I just wanted to add to this. I picked up the 26.50" x 7.00" x 2.00" version and it slid right into the factory mounts. I just had to buy longer bolts and spacers since the unit is a bit taller. I also bought a plug kit from summit racing to use on the temp and drain ports, they also worked in the bottom of the lower manifold to remove the PCV system LOL. I cut the factory hard lines and used the factory rubber lines to connect everything up. So for about a $100 you can have an upgraded HE installed to support a new VMP TVS supercharger.

* The in and out ports are .50 not .75 like some of the ebay adds say and any hardware store will have the fitting since they are pipe thread.
