Well we have decided to attend 2015, totally stoked but need info. Were do we stay for beach access that's safe for a car hauler yet close to the event and night life? What do you recommend to do or not to do? Any insight is appreciated...

I've been going for several years. I stay just south of Myrtle Beach in Surfside Beach. It takes me 35-40 minutes to get to the car show at the mall. I stay in a quieter part of the beach. Its a 10 minute drive to the strip and 15-20 minute drive to Broadway on the beach (night life hot spot).

I am fine with a 15-20 min drive to the attractions and to stay in a quieter area.

Lots of ppl stay at Holiday Sands South. I personally have not so I cannot comment.

I personally stay in North Myrtle. Vandalism gets pretty bad in MB during MW sometimes, so I have always been scared to stay there. Holiday Sands South seems like a good spot to stay if you do decide to stay in the MB area. Like said above there are places for haulers. Plus most of the Staff stays there as well.

For hauling a trailer I would call different places and ask if they have an area for haulers, or call Elliot Realty (the big realty/rental company in the area) and ask them to find you a house with the criteria you need. They are very helpful.

There is plenty to do in and around MB. There is a couple threads in this section that highlight some of the better attractions and restaurants.

My best tips are:

Leave early for everything, the traffic gets pretty bad there.
Obey traffic laws and don't act/drive like a 16 year old kid. They love giving traffic tickets.
The best restaurants/bars aren't always advertised. Like I said above, there is thread in here that highlights some good spots to go.

As stated above Holiday Sands South seems to be the go to place in the heart of Myrtle Beach. I have been going for the past 5 years and have rented a house each time and go with a few friends, I've stayed all up and down from Cherry Grove to Surfside. Cherry Grove and Surfside are a little quieter than areaa in between the two. I enjoyed Surf Side the most from the times I went. Very low key, but still a lot to do, not too far from the events but far enough to not have to deal with the busy traffic and loud noises our cars are notorious for when trying to sleep or relax. Like stated above obey all traffic laws especially during the shows and events as well as on the main strip when the cops are just looking for any excuse to write a ticket. Other than that have fun it's a blast I look forward to it every year.

I recommend staying on the north end, closer to North Myrtle Beach. Also, don't miss the annual SVTP party at the House of Blues.

I recommend going to have a good time and to not act like an idiot on public roads which makes all Mustang owners look bad.

Barons is the best! Sid told me about it and it is amazing.

Got a new place for you to try. La Roca. It's a tiny Mexican place in the same shopping center as Baron's. Best Mexican food I've ever had. You have to know what you're getting yourself into though.

Burro Loco has really good Mexican food too. I usually end up there once during the week.

California Dreaming I think it's called had really good food too. I've only eaten there once tho.

Yep, this will be first time in MANY years that I'll not be staying at the HSS. I'm not surprised by their decision after talking with their staff the past couple of years.
