Took them long enough....
My dad can now buy Amsoil for his GT500... he would buy oil filters , but said he was not going to run anything other than 5/50.
No Prob... I know what my dad will be ordering Monday.Great find, shadyninja! Thanks for posting.
I was just about to place an order for Amsoil in 10-w 30 per recommendation of Beast. As soon as I saw that picture of the bottle with Amsoil 5-w 50 I could not believe it. I then picked up the phone and ordered 2 cases. I guess now the guestion for Beast is Would you still go with Amsoil in 10 w 30 or go with the new Amsoil in 5-w 50 or does it matter.
Son of a bitch. Changed my oil 3 weeks ago.
If you took my advice from other threads, do not worry. You are likely better off for your application and use.
No long term damage at all, assuming it's street use only. Different manufacturers call for different viscosity lubricants due to bearing clearances and other design reasons. I've been saying this for years, Ford went a bit overboard calling for 5W-50.
You will soon notice I am recommending everyone with a 2007-2014 GT500 to use Amsoil's new AZF 0W-40 for street use, no matter which thermostat is installed. It's a no compromise formulation for the Hellcat which will work perfectly in the GT500's engine on the street.
you still recommending this Beast? i bought a 2012 gt500 5 months ago and am getting ready to do the first oil change on her. she never sees the track but does get some spirited driving. i am also about to add about 100 hp to her so, i'm curious what's best. Thanks alot in advance...
